Department of Lands and Survey,
Wellington, 10th December, 1934.
HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased,
in pursuance of section 49 of the Public Reserves,
Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, to make the following
appointments :—
Frederick Robert Philipps,
to be a member of the Kohukohu Domain Board in place of
George Edward King, resigned.
John Oliver Cunningham,
to be a member of the Patea Domain Board in place of
Frederick Charles Melville Jenkins, resigned.
The Chairman of the Murchison County Council, ex officio,
to be a member of the Rotoiti Domain Board in place of
Ralph Catley, resigned.
Robert Candlish Allen,
to be a member of the Paihia Domain Board in place of the
Rev. Percy Temple Williams (deceased).
Frederick William Baillie,
to be a member of the Golden Domain Board in place of
James Gordon, resigned.
Joseph Hitchcock, and
Leslie Thomas Hughes,
to be members of the Te Aroha Domain Board in place of
William Leslie Bailey and Henry John Simpson, resigned.
George Alexander McLean, and
Gordon Tate Lucas,
to be members of the Leithfield Domain Board in place of
Donald McLean, resigned, and Charles John Hadley, who has
been absent from three consecutive meetings without the
consent of the Board.

in terms of section 10 of the Urban Farm Land
Rating Act, 1932, to appoint
Henry Albert Belk, Esquire, Farmer, of Ohutu, Taihape,
to be a member of the Assessment Court for the Borough of
Taihape ; and also to appoint
Arthur James, Esquire, Company-manager, Taihape,
on the recommendation of the Taihape Borough Council, to be
a member of the said Assessment Court.

Appointments, Promotions, Transfers, and Retirements of
Officers of the N.Z. Military Forces.
Department of Defence,
Wellington, 10th December, 1934.
HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased
to approve of the following appointments, promotions,
transfers, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand
Military Forces :—
STAFF.
Colonel J. L. Frazerhurst, v.d., M.A., M.D., F.R.I.P.H.,
Honorary Physician to the Governor-General, N.Z. Medical
Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Director of Medical
Services, and is posted to the Retired List with permission
to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform.
Dated 30th November, 1934.
Lieutenant-Colonel F. T. Bowerbank, O.B.E., E.D., M.D.,
M.R.C.P., N.Z. Medical Corps, relinquishes the appointments
of Assistant Director of Medical Services and O.C., N.Z.M.C.,
Central Command, dated 30th November, 1934, and is
appointed Director of Medical Services, with the rank of
Colonel, dated 1st December, 1934.
Lieutenant-Colonel R. Stout, M.D., N.Z. Medical Corps, is
appointed Assistant Director of Medical Services and O.C.,
N.Z.M.C., Central Command. Dated 1st December, 1934.
Lieutenant-Colonel C. E. Hercus, D.S.O., O.B.E., v.d., M.D.,
B.D.Sc., N.Z. Medical Corps, relinquishes the appoint-
ments of Assistant Director of Medical Services and O.C.,
N.Z.M.C., Southern Command, and is transferred to the
Reserve of Officers. Dated 24th November, 1934.
Lieutenant-Colonel A. C. McKillop, M.B., N.Z. Medical
Corps, is appointed Assistant Director of Medical Services
and O.C., N.Z.M.C., Southern Command, and retains the
appointment of Officer Commanding, 3rd Field Ambulance.
Dated 25th November, 1934.
