Amending a License authorizing Sullivan Bros., of Weheka, to use Water from a Tributary of the Clear Water River for the Purpose of generating Electricity and to erect and use Electric Lines within Portion of the Westland County.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 10th day of December, 1934.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in any-wise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend the Order in Council dated the twenty-fifth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 82 of the first day of November, at page 3134, authorizing Sullivan Bros., of Weheka, to use water from a tributary of the Clear Water River for the purpose of generating electricity and to erect and use the electric lines therein described, by deleting subclause (d) of clause four of the conditions thereof and substituting the following :—
“4. (d) Transmission and other lines over the routes shown by means of dotted lines on the said plan, and also lines leading from the main transmission-line across Sections 760, 804, 816, 844, and 838, Block XVI, Gillespie’s Survey District, for the purpose of giving supply to four cottages, such additional lines being more particularly delineated by means of red lines on the plan marked P.W.D. 88085, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, Wellington.”

Authorizing the Laying-off of Streets in the Borough of Lyttelton of a Width of less than 66 ft., but not less than 40 ft., subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 10th day of December, 1934.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Lyttelton Borough Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed streets described in the Schedule hereto, of a width of less than sixty-six feet, but not less than forty feet, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the said streets within a distance of thirty-five feet from the centre-lines of the said streets.
SCHEDULE.
THAT proposed street in the Canterbury Land District, Borough of Lyttelton, extending from Reserve Terrace to Somes Road, and containing by admeasurement 2 roods 2·3 perches, more or less, being portion of Lots 4 and 5, D.P. 9148, and Lot 40, D.P. 9983, being parts Rural Section 1, Block IV, Halswell Survey District.
Also that proposed street in the said land district and borough, extending from Canterbury Street (Day’s Road) to Oxford Street, and containing by admeasurement 3 roods 3 perches, more or less, being Lot 24 and portion of Lots 20, 21, 22, and 23, D.P. 9058, being parts Rural Section 1, Block IV, Halswell Survey District.
Also that proposed street in the said land district and borough, extending from Somes Road to Selwyn Terrace, and containing by admeasurement 3 roods 17·4 perches, more or less, being portion of parts Rural Section 40, Block IV, Halswell Survey District.
As the said streets are more particularly delineated on the plans marked P.W.D. 87346, 87347, and 87349, respectively, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Block V, Mount Fyffe Survey District, Marlborough Land District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 10th day of December, 1934.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart for a site for a Mechanics’ Institute and Athenæum :
And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such land shall be changed to a reserve for a public hall site :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve for a site for a Mechanics’ Institute and Athenæum to a reserve for a public hall site.
SCHEDULE.
MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that land containing by admeasurement 1 rood, being part Section 68, Block V, Mount Fyffe Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 54852 (3), deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Consenting to the Assignment of Licenses to erect Electric Lines and to use Water for the Purpose of generating Electricity from Mervyn William Wallis to Ada Charge Wallis and Fred Burton Wallis.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the assignment to Ada Charge Wallis, of Okete, Married Woman, and Fred Burton Wallis, of Auckland, by Mervyn William Wallis, of his rights, powers, and privileges under the Orders in Council hereinafter mentioned :—
(1) An Order in Council dated the twenty-first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-fourth day of the same month, at page 1806, authorizing Mervyn William Wallis to erect electric lines along the routes therein described.
(2) An Order in Council dated the thirtieth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twelfth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, at page 270, authorizing Mervyn William Wallis to erect electric lines along the routes therein described.
(3) An Order in Council dated the twenty-eighth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, published in the New Zealand Gazette of the second day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, at page 365, authorizing Mervyn William Wallis to use water for the purpose of generating electricity.
