Appointment of Public Trustee.

THE following Warrant, appointing the Public Trustee, is published for general information.

Dated at Wellington, this 25th day of September, 1934.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section three of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities in that behalf me enabling, I, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby appoint you, the said

Everett Olive Hales,

to be Public Trustee of the Dominion of New Zealand, with all the powers, privileges, and duties appertaining thereto, to hold office during the pleasure of the Governor-General in Council.

This appointment shall take effect as from the first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-four.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 24th day of September, 1934.

Setting apart Crown Land under Section 161 of the Land Act, 1924.

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and sixty-one of the Land Act, 1924, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the land described in the Schedule hereto for disposal under the section of the Act mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 36, Block VIII, Opoe Survey District: Area, 43 acres 0 roods 7 perches.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 22nd day of September, 1934.

Warrant vesting the Control of Imm’s Bridge over the Utakura River (together with the Approaches thereto) in the Bay of Islands County Council.

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby direct that the bridge (together with the approaches thereto) described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of the gazetting hereof, be under the exclusive care, control, and management of the Bay of Islands County Council.

SCHEDULE.

THAT bridge in the North Auckland Land District over the Utakura River, known as Imm’s Bridge, together with the approaches thereto, situated on Imm’s Access Road, in Section 3, Block X, Omarere Survey District. As the site of the said bridge is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 87965, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 21st day of September, 1934.

King’s Counsel appointed.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint

Henry Havelock Cornish, Esquire, of Wellington,

to be King’s Counsel, the Right Honourable the Chief Justice having concurred in such appointment as provided in regulations made by Order in Council dated the 21st day of January, 1907.

Appointment of Inspector under Companies (Special Investigations) Act, 1934.

IT is hereby notified that by Warrant dated the 17th day of September, 1934, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Dominion, has, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred by the Companies (Special Investigations) Act, 1934, appointed John Leslie Griffin, of Wellington, Public Accountant, to be an Inspector to investigate the affairs of each of the following companies (being companies to which the said Act applies by virtue of an Order in Council dated the 5th day of September, 1934, and made under the authority of subsection (2) of section 2 of such Act), namely:—
