A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the development of water-power (Arapuni Scheme); and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the first day of September, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-four.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 2 acres 1 rood 39·4 perches.
Being portion of Section 4.
Situated in Block XI, Tangitu Survey District (Taranaki R.D.).
In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 87851, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 27th day of August, 1934.

Amending Lower Hutt Borough Loans Conversion Order, 1934.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 27th day of August, 1934.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on him by subsection two of section thirteen of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and of all other powers and authorities in this behalf him enabling, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of that Dominion, and by way of amendment of the Lower Hutt Borough Loans Conversion Order, 1934, made on the twenty-fifth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-four, and published in the Gazette of the first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-four, doth hereby prescribe and order as follows:—

This Order may be cited as the Lower Hutt Borough Loans Conversion Amendment Order, 1934, and shall be read together with and form part of the Lower Hutt Borough Loans Conversion Order, 1934 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Order”).

The principal Order is hereby amended by inserting after the words “Provided that” in the proviso to subclause two of clause twenty thereof the following words: “the contribution payable on the first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five, shall be diminished by the sum of £1,827 13s. 11d. to be provided out of the other moneys for the time being in such sinking fund, and provided further that.”
