NOTICE is hereby given that the leases and licenses of the undermentioned lands, having been declared forfeited by resolutions of the Land Boards of the respective land districts, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, and the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915.

Settlement Land in Canterbury Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Christchurch, 7th February, 1934.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Friday, 9th March, 1934.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, on Tuesday, 13th March, 1934, at 10.30 a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.
SCHEDULE.
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.—SETTLEMENT LAND.
Ashburton County.—Ashburton Survey District.—Seafield Settlement.
(Exempt from payment of rent for two years.)
Section 1, Blocks XV and XVI: Area, 304 acres 0 roods 5 perches. Capital value, £1,680. Half-yearly rent, £42. Loaded with £450 for improvements. This amount is payable in cash or by a cash deposit of £25, the balance by a loading on the lease of £290 for a term of twenty-one years, and £135 by first instalment-mortgage for a term of twenty years.
Situated on Chrystie’s Road, ten miles from Ashburton Post-office and Railway-station, and four miles from Seafield School. The section, which is subdivided into seven paddocks, is watered by county races and is all flat and ploughable. When in condition the area is good sheep-fattening country.
The improvements comprise dwelling of four rooms, with bathroom and pantry, range and open fireplace, electric light, in good condition, also motor and chaff shed and 120 chains of subdivisional fencing, the whole being valued at £450. The balance of the fencing is included in the capital value of the lease and remains the property of the Crown.
Special Note.—After payment of the first half-year’s rent, deposit on improvements, lease fee, &c., the Crown will grant two years’ rent-free, subject to improvements to pasture, &c., being carried out to an equivalent value to the satisfaction of the Land Board.
