NOTICE is hereby given that the Public Trustee has filed in the Supreme Court an election to administer in respect of the several estates of the persons deceased whose names, residences, and occupations (so far as known) are hereunder set forth.

Minister’s Decision under Sales Tax Act, 1932–33.

Customs Department, Wellington, 10th July, 1934.

IT is hereby notified for public information that the Minister of Customs has decided to interpret the Sales Tax Act, 1932–33 (hereinafter referred to as “the Act”), as under:—
It should be understood that the decisions contained herein may be revised from time to time in the light of further information which may be obtained by the Minister.

C (s) 22/22 30 The following persons need not be licensed under the Act:—

A person manufacturing taxable goods who satisfies the Collector that the total sale value of the taxable goods manufactured by him during the last financial year of his business did not exceed £500, and that the estimated value of the taxable goods likely to be manufactured by him during the current financial year is not expected to exceed that sum; provided that this exemption shall not apply to any person unless he is the holder of a certificate of exemption for the time being in force issued to him by the Collector of sales tax upon application made in a form to be supplied by the Collector.
For the purposes of this decision the sale value of goods manufactured shall in all cases be deemed to be the fair market value of such goods as if they were sold to a retailer in the ordinary course of business, and not the sale value as ascertained or determined in accordance with the proviso in paragraph (b) of subsection (1) of section 13 of the Act, or as determined in subsection (1) of section 3 of the Sales Tax Amendment Act, 1933.

Land in Auckland Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section will be offered for sale by public auction for cash or on deferred payments at the Lands Office, Taumarunui, on Wednesday, 15th August, 1934, at 11 a.m., under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.
Taumarunui County.—Tuhua Survey District.

SECTION 27, Block XIII: Area, 4 acres 2 roods 35 perches. Upset price, £50.

Weighted with £320 for improvements consisting of a dwelling of four rooms and leanto. Payable in cash or by a deposit of £30, the balance to be secured on instalment mortgage over a period of twenty years with interest at 5 per cent. to a New Zealand discharged soldier or 5½ per cent. to others, repayable by monthly instalments of principal and interest combined amounting to £1 18s. 7d. in the case of a New Zealand discharged soldier or £2 0s. 2d. in the case of a civilian.

Suitable as a home for a person with part-time employment. The section is situated approximately one mile from Taumarunui Post-office and Railway-station, one mile and a half from the school. Undulating land, ring-fenced, fencing being in fair order.
