THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of any other power in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the assignment to Neil Gordon McLean, Medical Practitioner, of Rotherham, by Frederick Rich Smale, Medical Practitioner, formerly of Rotherham, of his rights, powers, and privileges under an Order in Council dated the tenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 50 of the thirteenth day of the same month, authorizing the said Frederick Rich Smale and Harry Maurice Crosslegh Dampier-Crossley, Farmer, both of Rotherham, jointly to use water for the purpose of generating electricity and to erect and use electric lines.

Consenting to stopping Portion of a Road in Block VII, Waipu Survey District, Whangarei County.

THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Whangarei County Council stopping the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road permitted to be stopped: 2 roods 16 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Allotment 503 and part Allotment 138.
Situated in Block VII, Waipu Survey District (Auckland R.D.), (Waipu Parish). (S.O. 27485.)
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 87325, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Order in Council consenting to the advancing by the Whangamomona County Council of the Sum of £225 out of its General Fund.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 30th day of May, 1934.
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS certain capital works, namely, the metalling and culverting of Whitianga Road in the Tahoma Riding of the Whangamomona County, are intended to be undertaken for the benefit of a defined part of the said county known as the Whitianga Road Loan Special-rating Area, and the Whangamomona County Council (hereinafter called “the said local authority”) in lieu of raising by a special loan the moneys, amounting to two hundred and twenty-five pounds (£225), required for such works is desirous of advancing the said sum out of its General Fund, pursuant to the provisions of section forty-five of the Finance Act, 1933 (No. 2):
And whereas the said local authority has complied with the provisions of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), and it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council, as required by the said Act, should be given to the advancing of the said sum:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the said Act, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the said local authority, pursuant to the provisions of section forty-five of the Finance Act, 1933 (No. 2), advancing out of its General Fund for the particular benefit of the ratepayers of the said Whitianga Road Special-rating Area, the sum of two hundred and twenty-five pounds (£225) or any part thereof, and in giving such consent doth hereby prescribe and determine that the moneys so advanced shall be recouped to the General Fund by equal annual instalments extending over a period not exceeding twenty (20) years and that in addition to such instalments there shall be paid to the General Account interest on the amount of the advance for the time being outstanding at such a rate or rates (not exceeding four pounds (£4) per centum per annum) as the local authority shall from time to time determine.
