A PROCLAMATION.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the road in Makotuku Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

Road Closed.

Approximate areas of the pieces of road closed:

A. B. P. Adjoining or passing through

8 2 22.97 Sections 1, 2, and 4, and Railway Reserve.

1 0 30·53 Section 4.

1 1 11·46 ,, 4.

Situated in Block IV, Makotuku Survey District. (S.O. plan 2913.)

In the Wellington Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/183, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2694, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 31st day of May, 1934.

Resuming Land for Scenic Purposes in Linkwater Survey District, Marlborough Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-five of the Land Act, 1924 (hereinafter termed "the said Act"), it is, inter alia, enacted that the Governor-General may by Proclamation resume possession of any land leased under Part III of the said Act, or under the corresponding provisions of any former Land Act, which in his opinion is required for any public purpose:

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land held under lease in perpetuity from His Majesty the King, issued under Part III of the Land Act, 1892, and section eighty-nine of the Land Act, 1908, and dated the twenty-fourth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required for a public purpose—that is to say, for a scenic reserve:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-five of the Land Act, 1924, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that I hereby resume possession of the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto for the public purpose hereinbefore mentioned, the same being part of the land held under lease in perpetuity as aforesaid.

SCHEDULE.

All that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing by admeasurement 4 acres 3 roods 20 perches, more or less, being Section 1 of 2, Block IX, Linkwater Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/682, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 1st day of June, 1934.
