ERRATUM.—Special order made by the Manawatu County Council declaring sections 121 and 131 of the Counties Act, 1920, not to apply to that Council, appearing on page 755 in the New Zealand Gazette No. 19 of the 29th March, 1934, for “ F. K. Drew, County Clerk,” twice appearing, read “ A. K. Drew, County Clerk.”

Additional Land near Horopito taken for the Purposes of the North Island Main Trunk Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the North Island Main Trunk Railway to take further land near Horopito, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway :

Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections thirty-four and two hundred and sixteen of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land: 2 roods 17·9 perches, 3 roods 2·8 perches, and 3 acres 2 roods 23 perches.

Portions of road (Rongokaupo Hill Scenic Reserve).

Situated in Block IV, Makotuku Survey District, Waimarino County. (S.O. 2902.)

In the Wellington Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 3000, deposited in the office of the Government Railways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 24th day of April, 1934.

Land set apart as Permanent State Forest.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as permanent State forest.

SCHEDULE.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—CANTERBURY FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.

(Part of Balmoral Plantation.)

ALL those areas in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 24 acres 0 roods 22 perches, more or less, being roads closed by a Proclamation dated 6th March, 1934 (Gazette, 1934, page 531), situated in Block XIV, Mandamus Survey District, and described as follows :—

All that area containing by admeasurement 3 acres 2 roods 4 perches, more or less, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the east by Section 258, Square 90; towards the south by Reserve 4004; towards the south-west by the Balmoral–Hurunui Road; and towards the north by Section 143, Square 90.

Also all that area containing by admeasurement 20 acres 2 roods 18 perches, more or less, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the north-east by the Balmoral–Hurunui Road; towards the south and east by Reserve 4198; towards the south-west by a road along the Hurunui River; towards the west by Section 91, Square 103; and towards the north by Sections 138, 138x, and 143, Square 90.

As the same are more particularly delineated on plan No. 128/16, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 24th day of April, 1934.
