Albert Stephen Nash to be 2nd Lieutenant (on probation) and is posted to the 1st Cadet Battalion. Dated 1st February, 1934.

THE CANTERBURY REGIMENT.
Lieutenant A. J. Breach, Regimental Supernumerary List, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class II (b), R.D. 10. Dated 29th March, 1934.

THE OTAGO REGIMENT.
Captain A. G. Williams, Regimental Supernumerary List, is posted to the Retired List, with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 1st April, 1934.

THE SOUTHLAND REGIMENT.
David Beath Cameron to be 2nd Lieutenant, and is posted to the 1st Battalion. Dated 23rd February, 1934.

N.Z. AIR FORCE.
Flight-Lieutenant J. D. Hewett, No. 1 (Army Co-operation) Squadron, to be Squadron Leader, and is appointed to command the Squadron. Dated 19th March, 1934.
Flying Officer M. D. Laurensen, No. 1 (Army Co-operation) Squadron, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 4. Dated 20th March, 1934.

N.Z. MEDICAL CORPS.
Major D. Wilson, M.B., ceases to be attached to the 1st Battalion, The Wellington West Coast Regiment, and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Central Command. Dated 17th March, 1934.
Captain A. D. S. Whyte, M.C., M.B., ceases to be attached to the Wellington East Coast Mounted Rifles, and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Central Command. Dated 24th March, 1934.

N.Z. CHAPLAINS DEPARTMENT.
D. B. Duggan, Chaplain, 4th Class (Salvation Army), is transferred from R.D. 12 to R.D. 9. Dated 20th March, 1934.

Appointments, Transfers, and Retirements of Officers of the N.Z. Military Forces.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments, transfers, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Military Forces:—

STAFF.
Lieutenant-Colonel J. Lyons, M.R.C.V.S. Eng., N.Z. Veterinary Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Director of Veterinary Services and Remounts, and is posted to the Retired List, with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 31st March, 1934.
Captain W. G. Gentry, N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes the appointments of Adjutant, 2nd Field Company, Corps of N.Z. Engineers, Central Depot, N.Z. Corps of Signals, 2nd Composite Company, N.Z. Army Service Corps, and 2nd Field Ambulance, and retains the appointment of General Staff Officer (Intelligence), G.H.Q. Dated 3rd April, 1934.
Lieutenant G. H. Heal, N.Z. Staff Corps, is appointed Adjutant, 2nd Field Company, Corps of N.Z. Engineers, Central Depot, N.Z. Corps of Signals, 2nd Composite Company, N.Z. Army Service Corps, and 2nd Field Ambulance, Wellington. Dated 4th April, 1934.

N.Z. PERMANENT STAFF.
Hon. Lieutenant E. D. Clough is posted to the Retired List with the rank of Captain and with permission to wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 17th April, 1934.

QUEEN ALEXANDRA’S (WELLINGTON WEST COAST) MOUNTED RIFLES.
The undermentioned Lieutenants are transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 6. Dated 11th April, 1934:—

Bernard Arthur Paetz to be 2nd Lieutenant (on probation), 1st Cadet Battalion, and is attached to the Regiment of N.Z. Artillery. Dated 8th February, 1934.

THE WELLINGTON WEST COAST REGIMENT.
The undermentioned Officers, Regimental Supernumerary List, are posted to the 1st Battalion. Dated 6th April, 1934:—

N.Z. MEDICAL CORPS.
Lieutenant W. S. R. Dick, L.R.C.P., Eng., M.R.C.S., Eng., ceases to be attached to the Manawatu Mounted Rifles, and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Central Command. Dated 11th April, 1934.

Member of the Pongaroa Rabbit Board appointed.—(Notice No. Ag. 3184.)

PURSUANT to the powers vested in me by section 37 of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, I, Charles Edward de la Barca Macmillan, Minister of Agriculture, do hereby appoint
Alexander Kinghorn,
being an Inspector appointed under Part I of the said Act, to be a member of the Pongaroa Rabbit Board established under the said Act.

Appointment of Deputy District Public Trustee.

NOTICE is hereby given that in pursuance of the power and authority vested in me by section 3 of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1921–22, I, the Public Trustee of the Dominion of New Zealand, have appointed
Basil Chandos Beaumont Dickson,
of the Public Trust Office, Palmerston North, to be Deputy of the District Public Trustee, Palmerston North, during the absence of such District Public Trustee from his headquarters, and all previous appointments in this behalf are hereby revoked.
