NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of the above company will be held at my office, 105 Southern Cross Buildings, Chancery Street, Auckland, on Friday, 16th March, at 10 o’clock a.m., for the purpose of having the accounts of the Liquidator, showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, laid before such meeting, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.

Horowhenua Electric-power Board Loans Conversion Order, 1933.
I, GEORGE ALEXANDER MONK, Chairman of the Horowhenua Electric-power Board, do hereby certify that pursuant to the provisions of subsection (2) of section 9 of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, a resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Horowhenua Electric-power Board held on the 19th day of December, 1933, and confirmed on the 23rd day of January, 1934, providing for the issue under Part II of that Act of new securities in conversion of existing securities issued in respect of the loans set forth in the first schedule of the Horowhenua Electric-power Board Loans Conversion Order, 1933.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
——
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by Part II of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and the Horowhenua Electric-power Board Loans Conversion Order, 1933, the Horowhenua Electric-Power Board hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the half-yearly instalments of principal and interest in respect of the new securities authorized to be issued by the Horowhenua Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act and Order in conversion of existing securities issued in respect of the following loans:—

and also the interest and other charges on the unconverted securities issued in respect of such loans, the said Horowhenua Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-third (⅓rd) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Horowhenua Electric-power District as defined in the schedule of the Proclamation proclaiming the said district appearing in the New Zealand Gazette of the 1st December, 1921; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such securities and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year until the last maturity date of such securities, being the 28th day of February, 1963, or until all such securities are fully paid off.”
I certify that the above is a copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Horowhenua Electric-power Board held on Tuesday, 27th February, 1934.

NOTICE is hereby given that the following resolution has been passed:—
“It is hereby resolved at a meeting of shareholders of Foster’s Pharmacy, Limited, held at the registered office of the company at Victoria Street, Hamilton, this 28th day of February, 1934, that it having been proved to the satisfaction of the company that it cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same; that the company be wound up voluntarily; and that CLARENCE WILLIAM ARMSTRONG, of Hamilton, Public Accountant, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”
