Appointing First Governor of Reserve Bank of New Zealand.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 10th day of January, 1934.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section twenty-five of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act, 1933 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), and of every other power thereunto him enabling, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
LESLIE LEFEAUX, Esquire,
to be the first Governor of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, to hold office, subject to the provisions of the said Act, for a term of seven years commencing on the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-four.

Appointment of Cemetery Trustees revoked (Raetihi Public Cemetery).—(H.C. 116.)
BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke a certain Warrant dated the seventh day of August, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the fourteenth day of the same month appointing trustees for the Raetihi Public Cemetery, as described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
RAETIHI PUBLIC CEMETERY.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 6 acres and 3 roods, more or less, being Section 30, Block VI, Makotuku Survey District: Bounded towards the west by the Raetihi-Parapara Road, 1504·5 links; towards the north by Section 29 (Garden Reserve), Block VI, Makotuku Survey District, 272·0 links; towards the east by a road along the bank of the Makotuku Stream, 2654·0 links; and towards the south by Section 38 (Scenic Reserve), 375·5 links. As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked 191/2/21, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Health, at Wellington.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 20th day of December, 1933.

Trustees for Raetihi Public Cemetery appointed.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section fifty-five of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the Raetihi Borough Council to be trustees of the Raetihi Public Cemetery as described in the Schedule hereto, and to have the control and management of the said cemetery.
SCHEDULE.
RAETIHI PUBLIC CEMETERY.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres and 3 roods, more or less, being part of Section 30, Block VI, Makotuku Survey District: Bounded towards the west by the Raetihi-Parapara Road, 1257·0 links; towards the north by Section 29 (Garden Reserve), Block VI, Makotuku Survey District, 272·0 links; towards the east by a road along the bank of the Makotuku Stream, 2365·0 links; and towards the south by other part Section 30, 384·25 links. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked 191/2/21, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Health, at Wellington, and thereon edged blue.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 19th day of December, 1933.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section three of the Maesures Registration Act, 1920, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Ronald Thomas McLean to be a member of the Maesures Registration Board under the aforesaid Act.

Appointment of Officer for the Purpose of the Sale of Food and Drugs Act, 1908.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section two of the Sale of Food and Drugs Act, 1908, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Clifford Knight an officer for the purposes of the Sale of Food and Drugs Act, 1908.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 21st day of December, 1933.

Reappointment of Member of Board of Health under the Health Act, 1920.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Health Act, 1920, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby reappoint James Sands Elliott, M.D., Edin., as a member of the Board of Health under the aforesaid Act for a period of three years from the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-four.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 14th day of December, 1933.

Placing Part of Korokoro Stream under Petone Borough Council.—(H.H. 127.)
BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by section sixty-two of the Health Act, 1920, it is provided that the Governor-General may, if he thinks fit, in the interests of public health, by notice in the Gazette, place any specified watercourse, stream, lake, or other source of water-supply, or any specified portion thereof, under the control of any local authority for the purpose of preventing the pollution thereof, notwithstanding that it may not be within the district of that local authority, or on land belonging to that local authority:
And whereas the Petone Borough Council is desirous of obtaining control of portion of the Korokoro Stream from which the Borough water-supply is drawn, in order more effectively to control sources of pollution of such supply:
Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on me by section sixty-two of the Health Act, 1920, do by this notice place all those catchment areas of the Korokoro Stream and its tributaries from the intake of the Petone Borough water-supply to the sources of that stream and its tributaries under the control of the Petone Borough Council for the purpose of preventing the pollution thereof.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 6th day of January, 1934.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that Robert Osburne Symons, being an officer in the service of the Crown holding the office of Postmaster at Clyde, is authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 20th day of December, 1933.
