HELENSVILLE TOWN BOARD.

NOTICE OF SPECIAL RATE.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the Helensville Town Board held in the Town Board Office on Monday, 18th December, 1933, the following resolution was passed :—

“That, in pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and all other authorities it thereunto enabling, the Helensville Town Board hereby resolves as follows : That for the purpose of providing and paying the interest and other charges on a loan of £5,000 authorized to be raised by the Helensville Town Board under the above-mentioned Act for building a new concrete storage-dam in the Town Board’s catchment-area the said Helensville Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of eleven-twentieths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable capital value of all rateable property of the Helensville Town District comprising the whole of Helensville Town District, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-one and one-half years or until the loan is fully paid off, and be payable for the rating period commencing on the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, and ending on the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-four, on the twenty-first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, and thereafter during the said term on such day or days in each rating period as general rates shall from time to time be made payable.”

THE CANTERBURY ROLLER FLOUR MILLS COMPANY, LIMITED.

NOTICE OF REDUCTION OF CAPITAL.

THE capital of the Canterbury Roller Flour Mills Company, Limited, henceforth is £25,000 divided into 50,000 ordinary shares of ten shillings each, instead of the former capital of £50,000 divided into 50,000 ordinary shares of one pound each. At the time of the registration of this minute 34,200 of the said ordinary shares, numbered 1 to 1500, and 1751 to 5650, and 5676 to 9440, and 9541 to 10315, and 10341 to 10365, and 10391 to 11770, and 11796 to 11845, and 11896 to 26170, and 26196 to 28475, and 28751 to 35,000, all numbers being inclusive, are issued, and the sum of one pound has been and is to be deemed to have been paid up on each of the 34,200 ordinary shares. The remaining 15,800 ordinary shares are unissued.

A copy of this minute and of the order for reduction of capital of the above-named company was registered with the Registrar of Companies at Christchurch on the eighteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three.

THE WAIMEA ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Waimea Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of fifty-seven thousand pounds (£57,000) authorized to be raised by the Waimea Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act for purchasing electrical plant and equipment of the Borough of Motueka and constructing works and other matters under the authority of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, for the supply of electricity to the Borough of Motueka and the surrounding districts of Riwaka, Lower Moutere, Mariri, and Tasman, and for providing finance by way of advances to consumers for the purchase of electrical and other equipment and providing finance by way of advances for the wiring of premises of consumers, the said Waimea Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and seven-sixteenths of a penny (1⁷⁄₁₆d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in that part of the Board’s District comprising all that area of land in the Land District of Nelson and bounded as follows : Commencing at the point of intersection of high-water mark of Tasman Bay with a public road at the south-eastern corner of Section 45, Moutere Hills, Block XI, Moutere Survey District, and proceeding thence in a north-westerly direction along the north-eastern side of the said road forming the south-western boundary of Section 45 aforesaid, across the said road, and along the north-eastern boundary of Section 11, in the aforesaid block and Survey District ; thence across a public road and along the north-eastern side thereof forming the south-western boundary of Section 31A, Moutere Hills, in the aforesaid block and Survey District, to the western corner of the said Section 31A ; thence in a north-easterly direction along the eastern side of the aforesaid public road forming the western boundaries of Section 31A aforesaid and Section 21, Moutere Hills, in the aforesaid block and Survey District, to the north-western corner of the last-mentioned section ; thence generally in a westerly and northerly direction along the northern and eastern sides of the said road forming the southern and western boundaries of Sections 22 and 22A, Moutere Hills, in the aforesaid block and Survey District, and Sections 86, 86A, 87, 87A, and 88, Moutere Hills, in Block XII, Motueka Survey District, to the north-western corner of the last-mentioned section ; thence in a northerly direction along the eastern side of the said road forming the western boundary of Section 94, Moutere Hills, in the aforesaid block and Survey District, to a point on the said road in prolongation of the southern boundary of Section 60, Moutere Hills, in the aforesaid block and Survey District ; thence in a westerly direction across the said road and along the southern boundary of Section 60 aforesaid to the south corner thereof ; thence generally in a north-westerly direction along the western boundary of Section 60 aforesaid to and across a public road, and along the western boundary of Section 98A, Moutere Hills, in the aforesaid block and Survey District, to the north-western corner thereof ; thence in a westerly direction along the southern boundary of Section 104, Moutere Hills, in Block VIII of the aforesaid Survey District and along the southern boundary of Section 104A, Moutere Hills, in Block XII of the aforesaid Survey District, to the intersection thereof with a public road ; thence in a northerly direction along the eastern side of the said road forming the western boundary of Section 104A aforesaid to a point on the said road in prolongation of the northern side of a public road forming the southern boundary of Section 2, Moutere Hills, in the aforesaid block and Survey District ; thence in a westerly direction across the said road and along the northern side of the public road forming the southern boundaries of Sections 2 and 1, Moutere Hills, in the aforesaid block and Survey District, to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned section ; thence in a southerly direction across a public road and along the western and northern sides of a public road forming the eastern and southern boundaries of Section 108, Moutere Hills, in Block XI of the aforesaid Survey District, to the western corner thereof ; thence in a northerly direction, across a public road, and along the eastern boundary of a public road forming the western boundary of Section 108 aforesaid to a point thereon in prolongation of the northern side of a public road forming the southern boundary of Section 2, Moutere, in Block VII of the aforesaid Survey District ; thence in a westerly direction across the said public road and along the northern side thereof, forming the southern boundaries of Sections 2 and 3, Moutere, and Section 39, square 3, in the aforesaid block and Survey District to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned
