Appointment of Officer under Part II of the Fisheries Act, 1908.

Chairman of Mortgagors’ Liabilities Adjustment Commission appointed.

to be Chairman of the Canterbury and Westland Mortgagors’ Liabilities Adjustment Commission for the purposes of the Mortgagors’ Relief Act, 1931, and its amendments, during the absence of J. R. Cunningham, Esquire, from New Zealand.

Appointments, Promotions, Transfers, and Resignations of Officers of the N.Z. Military Forces.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments, promotions, transfers, and resignations of officers of the New Zealand Military Forces :—

STAFF.

The appointment of Lieutenant-Colonel F. T. Bowerbank, O.B.E., M.D., F.R.C.P., N.Z. Medical Corps, as Assistant Director of Medical Services, Central Command, is extended to 1st December, 1934.

John Robertson, Esquire, is appointed Acting Director of Signals during the absence from New Zealand of the Director of Signals, and is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel while so employed. Dated 15th December, 1933.

The notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 59, dated 17th August, 1933, relative to Captain R. S. Park, is hereby cancelled and the following substituted :—

“Captain (now Major) R. S. Park, Regiment of Royal N.Z. Artillery, relinquishes the appointment of Adjutant, Central Coast Artillery Group, dated 22nd July, 1933, and is appointed Staff Officer, Artillery, G.H.Q., Officer Commanding R.N.Z.A., Central Command, Staff Officer for Coast Defences and Medium Artillery, and Chief Artillery Instructor, Central Command, Wellington, dated 23rd July, 1933.”

Lieutenant J. R. Page, Regiment of Royal N.Z. Artillery, is appointed Adjutant, Central Coast Artillery Group. Dated 23rd July, 1933.

THE WELLINGTON EAST COAST MOUNTED RIFLES.

2nd Lieutenant L. B. Ballantyne to be Lieutenant. Dated 16th September, 1933.

REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY.

Lieutenant N. W. M. Hawkins, from the Canterbury Regiment, to be Lieutenant, with seniority from 17th September, 1930, and is posted to the 16th Light Battery. Dated 7th December, 1933.

THE AUCKLAND REGIMENT (COUNTESS OF RANFURLY’S OWN.)

2nd Lieutenant J. A. Richardson, Regimental Supernumerary List, resigns his commission. Dated 7th December, 1933.

THE NORTH AUCKLAND REGIMENT.

Hon. Lieutenant (Bandmaster) S. Martin, 3rd Cadet Battalion, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 3. Dated 8th December, 1933.

THE WAIKATO REGIMENT.

2nd Lieutenant G. L. Allcock, Regimental Supernumerary List, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 8. Dated 8th December, 1933.

THE TARANAKI REGIMENT.

Lieutenant A. E. Gilliver, 1st Battalion, to be Captain. Dated 28th February, 1933.

THE CANTERBURY REGIMENT.

The undermentioned Lieutenants, Regimental Supernumerary List, are transferred to the Reserve of Officers, R.D. 10. Dated 2nd December, 1933 :—

Class I (b) : J. Downs.
Class II (b) : G. R. Park, M.C.

Lieutenant N. W. M. Hawkins, Regimental Supernumerary List, ceases to be attached to the 16th Light Battery, N.Z.A., and is transferred to the Regiment of N.Z. Artillery. Dated 7th December, 1933.

THE OTAGO REGIMENT.

2nd Lieutenant W. A. Stewart, Regimental Supernumerary List, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 10. Dated 4th December, 1933.

THE SOUTHLAND REGIMENT.

Lieutenant C. L. King, Regimental Supernumerary List, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 12. Dated 2nd December, 1933.
