Land in Taranaki Land District for Selection on Optional Tenure.

District Lands and Survey Office,
New Plymouth, 13th December, 1933.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are open for selection on optional tenure under the Land Act, 1924, and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 22nd January, 1934.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, on Wednesday, the 24th January, 1934, at 10 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.

SCHEDULE.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.

Clifton County.—Upper Waitara Survey District.

SECTION 7, Block III: Area, 658 acres. Capital value, £330. Deposit on deferred payments, £20. Deferred payments: Half-yearly instalment, £10 1s. 6d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £6 12s.

This property is situated on the Moki Road, about twelve miles distant from Uruti. Approximately 220 acres were originally felled and grassed, but, with the exception of a few acres around the homestead-site, this has now reverted to fern and scrub. The section has a steep frontage on the Moki Road; there is, however, easier country towards the back of the section.

Reserve in Westland Land District for Lease by Public Auction.

Hokitika, 12th December, 1933.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned reserve will be offered for lease by public auction at this office at 2.30 o’clock p.m., on Monday, the 22nd January, 1934, under the provisions of the New Zealand University Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE.

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.—UNIVERSITY ENDOWMENT.

RESERVE No. 26, Block IV, Mahinapua Survey District: Area, 5 acres. Upset annual rental, £3.

Loaded with £4 7s. 6d. valuation for fencing.

The reserve is situated on the South Spit Road, about a mile and a quarter from Hokitika Post-office, from which it is accessible by good metalled road.

Extract from Terms and Conditions of Lease.

One half year’s rent at the rate bid, rent from the date of auction to the 30th June, 1934, and lease fee (£2 2s.) must be paid on the fall of the hammer. Rent is payable half-yearly, in advance, on the 1st January and 1st July, and the penalty on amounts overdue is 10 per cent. Possession will be given on the date of the auction. Term of lease will be twenty-one years from 1st July, 1934.

Form of lease setting out full terms and conditions of occupation may be perused at the office of the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Hokitika.

Land in Otago Land District, Otago Mining District, for Selection on Renewable Lease.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Dunedin, 12th December, 1933.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, up to 4 o’clock p.m., on Monday, 12th February, 1934.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, on Wednesday, 14th February, 1934, at 10.30 a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.

The land is offered in terms of section 153 of the Land Act, 1924, which provides that no right to any mineral under the surface shall pertain to the lessees whose rights shall be to the surface soil only.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—OTAGO MINING DISTRICT.—THIRD-CLASS LAND.

Vincent County.—Lower Hawea Survey District.
