HEREWITH is published for general information, in accordance with the Land Agents Act, 1921-22, a supplementary list of persons licensed to carry on business as land-agents as on the 30th day of November, 1933.

REGISTER OF LICENSES ISSUED UNDER THE LAND AGENTS ACT, 1921-22.

NOTE.—The Register is arranged alphabetically under the names of holders of licenses; but when an individual holds a license on behalf of a firm or registered company, the name of such firm or company, and not the name of the holder of the license, is placed in its alphabetical order.

In the case of a firm or company the name of which consists of the Christian name or names (or initials) and surname or surnames of some person or persons, the index letter is the first letter of the first surname.

Further, where an individual holder of a license trades under a particular name, the trade-name appears in its alphabetical order.

Certificate and Declaration of Execution of Criminal.

THE following certificate and declaration are published in conformity with the provisions of the Crimes Act, 1908.

CERTIFICATE.

I, CYRIL HOCKEN TEWSLEY, the Medical Officer in attendance at the execution of John Hubert Edwards, at the prison at Mount Eden, Auckland, do hereby certify and declare that I have this day witnessed the execution of the said John Hubert Edwards at the said prison; and I do further certify and declare that the said John Hubert Edwards was, in pursuance of the sentence of the Supreme Court, hanged by the neck until his body was dead.

Given under my hand, this 11th day of December, 1933, at the prison at Mount Eden, Auckland.

DECLARATION.

We do hereby testify and declare that we have this day been present when the extreme penalty of the law was carried into execution on the body of John Hubert Edwards, convicted at the criminal sittings of the Supreme Court held at Auckland on the 24th day of October last and was sentenced to death, and that the said John Hubert Edwards was, in pursuance of the said sentence, hanged by the neck until his body was dead.

Prohibition of Issue of Money-orders and Transmission of Postal Correspondence.

THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand having reasonable ground for supposing that the persons whose names and address are shown in the Schedule hereunder are engaged in promoting or carrying out a lottery or scheme of chance, it is hereby ordered, under section 32 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928, that no money-order in favour of either of the said persons shall be issued and that no postal packet addressed to either of the said persons (either by his own or any fictitious or assumed name), or addressed to the address in the Schedule hereunder without a name, shall be either registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.

I, ROBERT WILLIAMSON ATKINSON, Returning Officer for the purposes of the Honey-export Control Act, 1924, and the regulations made thereunder, hereby declare the result of the poll taken on Monday, 11th December, 1933, for the election of a producers’ representative on the New Zealand Honey Control Board to be as follows:—

I therefore declare the said Percival Augustus Hillary to be elected.

EXTRAORDINARY VACANCY.

IN accordance with the Second Schedule to the Education Act, 1914, it is notified that Mr. Edward Morgan has been duly elected as a member of the Education Board of the district of Otago for the Central Ward.

The number of votes recorded in favour of the respective candidates were as follows:—
