Picture Machines Loan, 1933, £400.

A poll was taken on the 9th November, 1933, on a proposal to borrow the sum of £400 for the purpose of completing the purchase of “sound” moving-picture-machines recently installed. The result of the poll was as follows:—

In favour of the proposal .. .. .. 67
Against the proposal .. .. .. 3
Majority in favour of the proposal .. .. .. 64

I therefore declare the said proposal to be carried.

Classification of Road in Amuri County.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations, 1932, I, Joseph Gordon Coates, Minister of Transport, do hereby approve of the Amuri County Council’s proposed classification of the road described in the Schedule hereto and situated in the Amuri County.

SCHEDULE.

AMURI COUNTY.

Road classified in Class 4: Available for the use thereon of any heavy motor-vehicle (other than a multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle) which, with the load it is carrying, weighs not more than 4½ tons, or any multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle which, with the load it is carrying, weighs not more than 6½ tons :—

Waipara–Kaikoura, via Culverden Main Highway No. 107. (That portion within Amuri County between Peach’s Cutting and the Conway River, being a distance of ten miles and a quarter.)

Dated at Wellington, this 13th day of December, 1933.
