Act, 1926, and it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council, as required by the said Act, should be given to such conversion to the extent and on the terms hereinafter mentioned :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the conversion by the Eastbourne Borough Council, as from the first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, of outstanding debentures amounting to twelve thousand six hundred and forty pounds six shillings and eightpence (£12,640 6s. 8d.), representing portion of the Council’s Water and Sewerage Loan, 1931, of £40,000, and in giving such consent doth hereby determine as follows :—

The term for which the conversion debentures are issued shall not extend beyond the first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and fifty-two.

The rate of interest payable in respect of the conversion debentures shall not exceed four pounds five shillings (£4 5s.) per centum per annum.

The amount payable by the Council by way of premium on conversion shall not exceed three hundred and seventy-four pounds sixteen shillings and sevenpence (£374 16s. 7d.), of which three hundred and fifty-nine pounds thirteen shillings and fourpence (£359 13s. 4d.) shall be included in the conversion debentures, and the balance, amounting to fifteen pounds three shillings and threepence (£15 3s. 3d.), shall be paid in cash out of revenue.

The conversion debentures shall be redeemed by half-yearly payments in accordance with the following table :—

Order in Council varying the Determinations in respect of Part (£40,000) of the Waimea Electric-power Board’s Loan of £55,000 by prescribing Repayment on the Instalment-repayment System.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 12th day of December, 1933.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the twenty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, and subject to the determinations as to borrowing and repayment therein set out, consent was given to the raising by the Waimea Electric-power Board (hereinafter called “ the local authority ”) of the sum of £55,000, by a loan to be known as “ Motueka District Supply and Reticulation Loan (No. 1), 1933 ” :
And whereas the sum of forty thousand pounds (£40,000) (hereinafter called “ the said sum ”), being part of the said loan, has not yet been raised, and it is expedient to vary certain of the determinations aforesaid in respect thereof :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and by section thirty-two of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby vary certain of the determinations aforesaid by consenting to the raising of the said sum of forty thousand pounds (£40,000) by the local authority upon the following terms :—
(1) During the period of two years following the raising of the said sum the local authority shall pay interest on the full amount thereof at the rate—namely, four pounds five shillings (£4 5s.) per centum per annum—as prescribed by the above-mentioned Order in Council ; and
(2) The said sum, together with interest at the aforesaid rate computed from the expiration of the said period of two years, shall be repaid by forty-eight (48) equal aggregate half-yearly instalments, the first of which shall be paid not later than two and one-half (2½) years after the raising of the said sum.
