The sections, which are situated in the Town of Waikouaiti,
commonly known as Karitane, a popular seaside resort, are
about one mile from Puketaraki Railway-station, and would
make good building-sites. All overlook the sea, and are
handy to the beach.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land
will be offered for sale by public auction for cash or
on deferred payments at the Lands Office, Haupapa Street,
Rotorua, on Wednesday, 8th March, 1933, at 11 o’clock a.m.,
under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.
Rotorua County.—Tarawera Survey District.
SECTION 12, Block VII: Area, 1 acre 0 roods 13 perches.
Upset price, £20.
Weighted with £212 for improvements, consisting of a
dwelling of five rooms (two concrete chimneys, range, and
built-in cupboard in kitchen) and detached washhouse. The
buildings are in need of repainting and repairs of a general
nature. The improvement loading is payable in cash or by
a cash deposit of £32, and the balance, £180, over a period
of fifteen years by half-yearly instalments of principal and
interest combined, amounting to £8 13s. 5d.
Situated on the Wairoa Road (from Rotorua to Lake
Tarawera), approximately thirteen miles from Rotorua and
in close proximity to the Wairere Waterfall and Lake Tarawera.
The building is at present used as tea-rooms.
No natural water-supply.
Note.—The property is watered by a ram and tanks
situated on adjoining land and it will be necessary for the
purchaser to make his own arrangements with the owner of
same should he wish to continue to draw water from this
source.
Special Condition.—The purchaser will require to keep the
buildings adequately insured in the name of the Crown until

half a mile from Kerepeehi School, store, and Post-office, and
eleven miles from Paeroa Railway-station.
Level low-lying drained swamp land of good quality at
present in rough feed.

District Lands and Survey Office,

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land
will be opened for sale or selection in terms of the
Land Act, 1924, and applications will be received at the
District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, up to 4 o’clock
p.m. on Monday, 27th March, 1933.
Applicants should appear personally before the Land Board
for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office,
Wellington, on Wednesday, 29th March, 1933, at 10 o’clock
a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be
examined by any other Land Board, or by any Commissioner
of Crown Lands.
The land may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased
for cash, or on deferred payments, or be selected on renewable
lease.
SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Rangitikei County.—Hautapa Survey District.
Section 41, Block IV: Area, 135 acres. Capital value, £945.
Deposit on deferred payments, £45; Deferred payments:
Half-yearly instalments, £29 5s.; renewable-lease, half-yearly
rent, £18 18s.
Weighted with the sum of £425 for improvements, consisting
of felling and grassing and 43 chains of fencing. This sum is
payable in cash or by half-yearly instalments of £16 11s. 6d.,
extending over a period of twenty-one years.
This section is situated at the junction of the Mowhango
and Rangitikei rivers. Access is from Utiku, a distance of
nine miles by metalled road. The whole area is flat, but
owing to the difficulty of obtaining an adequate water-supply
the section is not considered to be suitable for dairying.
With the exception of 7 acres of natural clearing the section
is in heavy stumps with totara predominating. Bounded on
the south-east and south-west by high cliffs falling into the
Mowhango and Rangitikei rivers. Soil is of a light quality
and is inclined to be stony. There are 2 acres of regeneration
of young totara and kowhai which should be preserved.
Section is poorly watered by two springs over cliff edge,
accessible to sheep only. Sinking for water on adjoining area
has proved unsuccessful. Altitude, 1,500 ft. above sea-level.

of Hamilton, now Auckland, Brushware Manufacturer,
was this day adjudged bankrupt; and I hereby summon a
meeting of creditors to be held at my office on Thursday,
the 9th day of February, 1933, at 10.30 o’clock a.m.
