  2. Goods booked to and from Kaikoura will be charged at the following rates:—

Class K (rate and a half) 10s. 3d. per 100 sup. ft.
Class N 37s. 3d. per ton.
Class P 33s. 6d. per ton.
Class Q 30s. 3d. per ton.
Class R 26s. 3d. per ton.
Cement 34s. 5d. per ton.
Coal, imported 31s. 9d. per ton.
Coal, New Zealand anthracite or bituminous 28s. per ton.
Artificial manures; minimum, 6 tons per consignment (Reg. 86, General Scale of Charges) 25s. 8d. per ton.
Artificial manures; minimum, 1 ton per consignment (Reg. 86, General Scale of Charges) 27s. 7d. per ton.
Fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, mushrooms, and nuts as defined in Reg. 85, paragraph 1, General Scale of Charges 40s. 7d. per ton.

KAIKOURA TO CHRISTCHURCH—HORNBY—PAPANUI, INCLUSIVE.

Fish in cases, not exceeding 1 cwt. per case .. 2s. 9d. per case.
Crayfish in sacks, not exceeding 1½ cwt. per sack .. 4s. 3d. per sack.

LYTTELTON TO KAIKOURA.

Cement .. 35s. 3d. per ton.
Salt (classification E) .. 32s. 5d. per ton.
Salt (classification E½) .. 39s. 8d. per ton.

  1. The charges on small lots of goods of Classes A, B, C, D, and E will be as follows:—

Not exceeding 14 lb. .. 1 0
„ 28 lb. .. 1 6
„ 56 lb. .. 2 6
„ 84 lb. .. 3 6

Consignments in excess of 84 lb. will be charged pro rata, with a minimum charge of 4s.

  1. Small lots of timber will be charged under the provisions of paragraph 2, Regulation 75, General Scale of Charges, between stations Christchurch—Papanui—Hornby inclusive and Parnassus, plus 4s. per 100 sup. ft. between Parnassus and Kaikoura.

  2. Empty returns between stations Christchurch—Papanui—Hornby inclusive and Parnassus will be carried under the provisions of Regulation 89, General Scale of Charges. Between Parnassus and Kaikoura (with the exception of empty return fish-cases and pigeon-crates, which are carried free) the rate is 6d. per hundredweight.

  3. Cartage Charges between Inangahua Junction and Burleys, Berlins, Tirorea, or Westport.

Parcels and goods may be booked through between Burleys, Berlins, Tirorea, or Westport via Inangahua Junction; the following are particulars of the cartage charges to or from Inangahua Junction:—

Parcels Traffic. From or to Inangahua Junction to or from Burleys (7 Miles). From or to Inangahua Junction to or from Berlins (9 Miles). From or to Inangahua Junction to or from Tirorea (16 Miles). From or to Inangahua Junction to or from Westport (30 Miles).
