DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

WHEREAS the undersigned have hitherto carried on business in Partnership as Plumbers under the style of H. Stairmand and Sons at 19A Abel-Smith Street, in the City of Wellington. Now notice is hereby given that such partnership has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 9th day of October, 1933, from which date the business will be conducted by Messrs. Harry Stairmand and Frank Horsley Stairmand.

THE WAINGONGORO CO-OPERATIVE DAIRY COMPANY, LIMITED.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of members of the above-named company held on the 29th September, 1933, the following special resolution was confirmed :—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. G. A. CARTER, Public Accountant, Stratford, be and is appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up. That an advisory committee consisting of Messrs. A. M. O’Sullivan, P. Morressey, and W. A. Hewitt be also appointed to assist the liquidator.”

PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1928.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Auckland Transport Board intends to take under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, the piece of land described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of vesting the title thereof in the name of the Board, the said piece of land being one of the assets of the recent tramway and motor-omnibus undertaking of the Auckland City Council, which said undertaking the Auckland Transport Board was authorized to take over under the provisions of the Auckland Transport Board Act, 1928 : And further notice is hereby given that a plan of the land proposed to be taken is deposited in the office of the Auckland Transport Board, Customs Street West, Auckland, and may be inspected there without fee during office hours : And further notice is hereby given that unless within forty days from the 18th day of October, 1933, being the date of the first publication of this notice, any written objection to the taking of such land is sent to the said Auckland Transport Board the Auckland Transport Board shall forthwith proceed to take the said land for such purpose.

All that piece of land situated in Portland Road, within the City of Auckland, containing 1 rood 3·3 perches, more or less, being portion of Allotment 7, Section 16, Suburbs of Auckland.

RESOLUTION.

THE following regulations were laid before the members of the Wairarapa Trotting Club at a meeting held on the 27th day of September, 1933, at Greytown, with a recommendation by the Chairman of such Club, Mr. J. F. Thompson, that the same be passed at once with a view to their approval by His Excellency the Governor-General in pursuance of the Gaming Act, 1908, section 33.
Mr. J. F. Thompson, the Chairman of such Club and the meeting, moved, and Mr. F. W. Smith seconded, and it was resolved, that such regulations should be adopted and that the Chairman and Secretary be authorized to sign the same in authentication thereof.

The following are the regulations referred to :—

WAIRARAPA TROTTING CLUB.
REGULATIONS.
(Under the Gaming Act, 1908.)

In pursuance and exercise of the powers in that behalf contained in section 33 of the Gaming Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities it enabling in that behalf, the Wairarapa Trotting Club, a racing club within the meaning of the said Act (hereinafter referred to as “the said club”), doth hereby make the following regulations controlling the admission of persons to that part of the Racecourse situated in the district of Carterton, and known as the Clareville Racecourse, while the said racecourse is used or occupied by the said club for race meetings.

  1. These regulations shall come into force on the date of the same being published in the New Zealand Gazette.

  2. In these regulations the words “bookmaker,” “trotting club,” and “race meeting” shall have the meanings ascribed to those terms respectively by section 2 of the Gaming Act, 1908.

  3. The following persons shall be and are hereby excluded from the racecourse above described while the same is used or occupied by the said club for a race meeting, namely :—

(a) Bookmakers ;
(b) Bookmakers’ clerks, bookmakers’ assistants, and bookmakers’ agents ;
(c) All persons under disqualification inflicted by any racing or trotting club in the Dominion of New Zealand, the Commonwealth of Australia, or elsewhere, if affiliated to the New Zealand Racing Conference, or the New Zealand Trotting Conference, or the New Zealand Trotting Association ;
(d) Common prostitutes and persons who habitually consort with thieves or persons who have no lawful visible means of support ;
(e) Professional tipsters, persons convicted of housebreaking or pocket-picking, forgery, uttering or possessing counterfeit coin, theft, false pretences, receiving stolen goods, mischief, assault, or any offence or crime of any kind under the Crimes Act, 1908, and also idle and disorderly persons, rogues, and vagabonds, and incorrigible rogues, convicted under the Police Offences Act, 1908, and persons convicted of an offence under the Gaming Act, 1908 :

Provided always that the Executive Committee appointed by the New Zealand Trotting Conference, upon being satisfied by evidence as to character and otherwise that any person who, by reason of any conviction, comes within the scope of this regulation, should have relief from the effect thereof, may grant exemption to any such person, and may at any time revoke any such exemption without notice to such person, and without assigning any reason for such revocation.

The foregoing regulations of the Wairarapa Trotting Club were made and passed by such club on the 27th day of September, 1933, and signed by the Chairman and Secretary.
