Regulations for the New Zealand Military Forces amended.
AMENDMENTS No. 36.
BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the Defence Act, 1909, and its amendments, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby amend in the manner and to the extent set forth in the Schedule hereto the regulations for the New Zealand Military Forces published in the Gazette dated the twenty-fifth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, and I do hereby declare that the amendments hereby made shall take effect as from the date of publication in the Gazette.
SCHEDULE.
REGULATIONS FOR THE NEW ZEALAND MILITARY FORCES, 1927.

PARAGRAPH 391, as amended by Gazette dated 6th October, 1927, line 2: For “1st August” substitute “15th July.” Delete lines 9 to 13, both inclusive.

Paragraph 394 is hereby revoked and the following substituted:—
“394. Examinations for first appointment to commission and promotion in the Territorial Force will be held once a year, during the second term holidays of the secondary schools, which begin about the end of August. The actual dates of the examination will be published in General Orders annually.”

Paragraphs 395, 404, and 405 are hereby revoked.

Paragraph 400 is hereby revoked and the following substituted:—
“400. No candidate may attend a written examination B, D, or Tactical Fitness for Command, Part II, until he has passed examination (a), C, or Tactical Fitness for Command, Part I, respectively (if applicable to his arm).”

Paragraph 401, line 2: After “A” insert “(a).”

Paragraph 403, lines 1 and 2: Delete the portion in brackets.

Paragraph 409: Delete subparagraphs (i), (ii), and (iii), and substitute:—
“The President of the Board will be an officer of the Permanent Forces, not below field rank for Tactical Fitness for Command, Part I, and Examination C, and not below the rank of Captain for Tactical Fitness for Command, Part II, and Examinations (a), B, D, E, and First Appointment to Commission.”
- Paragraph 412: Subparagraph (a), line 1: Before “C” insert “(a).”
Subparagraph (b), line 2: Before “C” insert “(a).”

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has, in pursuance of section 46 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, been pleased to increase the number of members of the Ruawai Domain Board from seven to nine; and to appoint
Harry Norman Cossar, and
Robert Frederick Anson
as the additional members thereby rendered necessary.

Appointment of Officer under Part II of the Fisheries Act, 1908.

IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor-General has, in pursuance of the provisions of the Fisheries Act, 1908, and of the Official Appointments and Documents Act, 1919, appointed
Charles George Butcher, of Vogeltown, New Plymouth,
to be an officer for the purposes of Part II of the first-mentioned Act in respect of the Taranaki Acclimatization District.

REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY.
Lieutenant G. A. Perry, 14th Medium Battery, to be Captain. Dated 15th September, 1933.
2nd Lieutenant C. L. E. Wood, 9th Field Battery, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 6. Dated 12th September, 1933.
CORPS OF N.Z. ENGINEERS.
2nd Lieutenant H. H. L. Jenks, Regimental Supernumerary List, resigns his commission. Dated 30th September, 1933.
THE AUCKLAND REGIMENT (COUNTESS OF RANFURLY’S OWN).
Captain B. M. Davis, from the Nelson, Marlborough, and West Coast Regiment, to be Captain, with seniority from 24th March, 1931, and is posted to the 3rd Cadet Battalion. Dated 30th September, 1933.
