In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of PALMERSTONS LIMITED.
NOTICE is hereby given that at a general meeting of shareholders of the above-named company duly convened and held at the registered office of the company, 60-63 Yorkshire House, Shortland Street, Auckland, on Friday, the 11th August, 1933, the following resolution was passed :-
“Resolved this 11th day of August, 1933, that this company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. J. W. HYLAND, care of Messrs. Gorrie and Biss, Public Accountants, Auckland, be appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up, he to be entitled to remuneration according to the usual scale.”

NOTICE OF CHANGE OF NAME.
I, JOHN HOWARD AYERS, of Paeroa, in the Provincial District of Auckland, Dominion of New Zealand, Beekeeper, do hereby give notice that I have assumed and intend henceforth upon all occasions and at all times to sign and use and be called and known by the surname of SORENSEN in lieu of and in substitution for my present surname of Ayers, and that such change or assumption of name is formally declared and evidenced by deed-poll under my hand and enrolled in the office at Auckland of the Supreme Court of New Zealand.

NOTICE OF CHANGE OF NAME.
I, CHARLES GORDON NESTOR-BAYLISS, heretofore called and known by the name of Charles Gordon Bayliss, of Taheke, Otane, Sheep-farmer, hereby give public notice that on the 10th day of August, 1933, I formally assumed and adopted and determined thenceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of NESTOR-BAYLISS in addition to and in lieu of the name of Bayliss, and I give further notice that by deed-poll bearing date the 10th day of August, 1933, duly executed and attested and enrolled in the office of the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Napier, on the 25th day of August, 1933, I formally assumed and adopted and intended thenceforth upon all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of Nestor-Bayliss in addition to and in lieu of the name Bayliss and so as to be at all times thereafter known and described by the name of Nestor-Bayliss exclusively.

NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to section 230 of the Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of the members of the above-named company will be held at the office of the Liquidator, First Floor, City Chambers, Queen Street, Auckland, on Monday, 11th September, 1933, at 2.15 p.m., for the purpose of having an account laid before the meeting showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that might be given by the Liquidator, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the liquidator shall be disposed of.

WESTPORT BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and the Local Legislation Act, 1932–33, the Westport Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :-
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and sinking fund and other charges on a loan of £3,000 authorized to be raised by the Westport Borough Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of repaying the balance owing in respect of a loan of £4,000 raised in the year 1923 to pay off the antecedent liability of the Council in that year, the said Westport Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one halfpenny (½d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Westport comprising the whole of the Borough of Westport, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of seventeen years or until the loan is paid off.”
We, the undersigned Mayor and Town Clerk of the Borough of Westport, do hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at the ordinary meeting of the Westport Borough Council held on Wednesday, the 16th day of August, 1933.
