HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments, promotions, transfers, and retirements of Officers of the New Zealand Military Forces :-

N.Z. STAFF CORPS.

Captain R. C. C. Steele ceases to be attached to the Proof Office, S.A.A., Auckland, and is posted to the Retired List, with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 30th June, 1933.

Lieutenant A. H. L. Sugden to be Captain. Dated 1st July, 1933.

N.Z. PERMANENT AIR FORCE.

Flying Officer T. J. Denton to be Flight-Lieutenant. Dated 6th July, 1933.

COMMANDS.

The period of command of Lieutenant-Colonel A. S. Falconer, D.S.O., M.C., The Otago Regiment, is extended to 31st May, 1934.

Lieutenant-Colonel P. H. Morey, v.d., The Southland Regiment, relinquishes command of the 1st Battalion, and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 11. Dated 30th June, 1933.

Major L. F. Selby, M.C., v.d., The Southland Regiment, is appointed to command the 1st Battalion, and is granted the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. Dated 1st July, 1933.

THE NELSON-MARLBOROUGH MOUNTED RIFLES.

Lieutenant D. S. A. Weir is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 9. Dated 28th June, 1933.

REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY.

Lieutenant M. G. Rogers, from the Wellington Regiment, to be Lieutenant. Dated 1st October, 1931.

2nd Lieutenant I. Hall, Regimental Supernumerary List, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 1. Dated 26th June, 1933.

THE HAURAKI REGIMENT.

Albert Lawrence Ilerdman to be 2nd Lieutenant (on probation) and is posted to the 1st Cadet Battalion. Dated 1st June, 1933.

THE WELLINGTON REGIMENT.

Captain F. R. Dornwell, Regimental Supernumerary List, is transferred to the Canterbury Regiment. Dated 22nd June, 1933.

Captain P. de la M. Barcham, Regimental Supernumerary List, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 5. Dated 29th June, 1933.

Lieutenant M. G. Rogers, Regimental Supernumerary List, is transferred to the Regiment of N.Z. Artillery. Dated 1st October, 1931.
