Joseph John Harkness
to be an Inspector for the purposes of the Seeds Importation Act, 1927, as from the 11th day of May, 1933;
Hector Robertson
to be Registrar of Births and Deaths of Maoris at Kawhia, as from the 1st day of June, 1933;
Charles Murray Green
to be Registrar of Births and Deaths of Maoris at Hillgrove, as from the 9th day of June, 1933;
Frederick William Bailey
to be Registrar of Marriages and Registrar of Births and Deaths for the District of Wakatipu, as from the 1st day of April, 1933.

Date of Election of Insurance Members of the Nelson Fire Board.

PURSUANT to section 24 of the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, I, James Alexander Young, Minister of Internal Affairs, charged with the administration of the said Act, do hereby appoint Thursday, the 29th June, 1933, to be the day for the holding of an election of two members of the Nelson Fire Board by fire-insurance companies which for the time being are carrying on business within the Nelson Fire District.

Name removed from Commission of the Peace.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased, in terms of section 8 of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, to direct the removal of the name of
Thomas Daniel Lennie,
of Christchurch, from the Commission of the Peace; and it is hereby notified that such name has been removed accordingly, and that such removal will take effect on and from this 14th day of June, 1933.

Prohibition of Issue of Money-orders and Transmission of Postal Correspondence.
THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand having reasonable ground for supposing that the person whose name and address are shown in the Schedule hereunder is engaged in promoting or carrying out a lottery or scheme of chance, it is hereby ordered, under section thirty-two of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928, that no money-order in favour of the said person shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to the said person (either by her own or any fictitious or assumed name) or addressed to the address in the Schedule hereunder without a name, shall be either registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.

Notice appointing Wednesday as the Statutory Closing-day in the Borough of Gore.
WHEREAS a poll to determine the statutory closing-day in the Borough of Gore was duly taken under the authority of section 20 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, on the 3rd day of May, 1933 :
And whereas the Town Clerk of the Borough of Gore has notified me that the majority of the votes given at such poll were in favour of the appointment of Wednesday as the statutory closing-day in the Borough of Gore :
Now, therefore, I, Adam Hamilton, Minister of Labour, in pursuance of section 20 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, do hereby appoint Wednesday as the statutory closing-day in the said Borough.
