A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled the Prisons Act, 1908, it is provided that the Governor-General may, by Proclamation published in the Gazette, declare any house, building, enclosure, or place to be a prison, and from and after the gazetting of any such Proclamation, or from any time later specified in the Proclamation, such house, building, enclosure, or place shall be deemed a prison :
Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the above-recited power and authority, do hereby declare that the area of land described in the Schedule hereto, and all buildings and enclosures used or occupied thereon, shall, from and after the date of the publication of this Proclamation in the Gazette, be a prison, known as the Rangipo Prison, within the meaning and for the purposes of the Prisons Act, 1908.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 8,090 acres, more or less, being Section 1, Block VIII, and parts of Rangipo North Nos. 2B and 3B, situated in Blocks IV, VII, VIII, X, XI, XII, and XV, Pihanga Survey District, and bounded generally as follows : Towards the north-east and east by the Upper Waikato (Tongariro) River ; towards the south by Rangipo North Nos. 2D 2 and 2D 3 ; towards the south-east by the Waiouru-Tokaanu Road ; towards the south-west by the Tongariro National Park ; and towards the north-west by Rangipo North Nos. 2C 1 and 2C 2 and the Poutu Stream : save and excepting the intersecting public roads.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 4th day of May, 1933.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a street the land in the Borough of Whakatane described in the First Schedule hereto ; and also do hereby proclaim as closed the street described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
LAND PROCLAIMED AS A STREET.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a street : 3 roods 39·1 perches.
Being portion of Part Lot 1, D.P. 10438, being part Allotment 245, Waimana Parish ; coloured red.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
STREET CLOSED.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of street closed : 1 rood 1·3 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Part Lot 1, D.P. 10438, being part Allotment 245, Waimana Parish ; coloured green.
All situated in Block II, Whakatane Survey District, Borough of Whakatane (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 26780.)
All in the Auckland Land District ; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 85432, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 9th day of May, 1933.
