CROWN LANDS NOTICES.

Settlement Land in Taranaki Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

District Lands and Survey Office,
New Plymouth, 3rd May, 1933.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, up to 4 o'clock p.m., on Monday, 26th June, 1933.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, on Wednesday, 28th June, 1933, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.

SCHEDULE.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.—SETTLEMENT LAND.

Stratford County.—Ngaiere Survey District.—Huinga Settlement.
SECTION 28, Block VIII: Area, 185 acres 2 roods. Capital value, £1,030. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £25 15s.

The improvements comprise five-roomed dwelling, wool-shed and cow-shed combined, about 100 chains road and boundary fencing, 132 chains internal fencing, 14 chains of hedge, clearing, stumping, and grassing; total value £800, of which £330 has been included in the capital value, and the balance of £470 is payable either in cash or by an instalment mortgage over long term, with interest at 5 per cent. to a discharged soldier or 5½ per cent. to other purchasers.

Dairying and grazing property, situated on the Rapuha Road, two miles from Huinga Post-office and School, and three miles from Toko Railway-station by a metalled road.

Approximately 140 acres are in pasture, the balance being in its natural state. The soil is a light loam on clay formation.

The property is watered by a river and streams.

Land in Wellington Land District for Sale or Selection.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Wellington, 3rd May, 1933.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be opened for sale or selection in terms of the Land Act, 1924, and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Monday, 29th May, 1933.

Applicants should appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, on Wednesday, 31st May, 1933, at 10 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board, or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The land may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or on deferred payments, or be selected on renewable lease.

SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.

Wanganui County.—Mangawhero Survey District.
SECTION 34, Block XI: Area, 518 acres 2 roods. Capital value, £520. Deposit on deferred payments, £30. Deferred payments: Half-yearly instalment, £16 5s. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £10 8s.

Weighted with £1,075 for improvements, consisting of felling and grassing, seven-roomed dwelling, wool-shed, and fencing. This sum may be paid in cash, or may be secured to Superintendent, State Advances Department, over a term of thirty years, interest being at the rate of 6 per cent.

Grazing section, situated on the Mangamahu Valley Road, four miles from Mangamahu Township, thirty-two miles from Wanganui, and twenty-three miles from Fordell Railway-station and Sale-yards by a good metalled road. There is a cream-collecting service if required.

The whole area comprises hilly to steep sheep-country, with small flats along river and on spurs. About 20 acres in bush along faces and gorges—balance has been felled and grassed. About 100 acres are badly deteriorated—balance being in fair to good pasture. Soil is of light quality on sandstone and papa. Well watered by streams and springs. Altitude 500 ft. to 2,000 ft. above sea-level.

Settlement Land in Otago Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Dunedin, 3rd May, 1933.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be offered for sale by public auction for cash or on deferred payments at the Lands Office, Dunedin, on Wednesday, 7th June, 1933, at 2 o'clock p.m., under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, and amendments, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.

SCHEDULE.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—WAITAKI COUNTY.—WINDSOR PARK NO. 1 SETTLEMENT.
SECTION 37A: Area, 60 acres. Upset price, £545.

Situated on the Oamaru-Ngapara Road, about two miles and a half from Enfield Post-office, School, and Station, and eight miles from Waiareka Saleyards. Access is by side road from Enfield. The soil is of light quality, resting on clay and gravel formation, and section is steep and broken. Altitude about 300 ft., and about two-thirds back-lying. Suitable for cropping and grazing. Watered by springs.

Improvements included in the capital value consist of wells, windmill, and troughs, valued at £20.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.

Egmont County.—Cape Survey District.
(Native Land Settlement Account.)

(Exempt from the payment of rent for three years.)
SECTION 44, Block IX: Area, 114 acres 0 roods 16 perches. Capital value, £270. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £6 15s.

Property situated on the Wataroa Road, about two miles and a half from Pungarehu Post-office, School, and Dairy Factory, six miles from Rahotu Saleyards, and sixteen miles from Opunake Railway-station by a metalled road.

Area will be suitable for dairying when improved, but in present condition is a grazing proposition. Level to easy hilly country, the soil being a light loam of good quality on clay formation. Watered by streams. Subdivided into two paddocks. About 14 acres in bush, 5 acres swamp land, 95 acres felled and grassed, now reverting to second growth.

Improvements comprise two-roomed cottage, approximately 76 chains boundary and subdivisional fencing, felling, and grassing, valued at £155, which amount is included in the capital value.
