In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of N. BATTERSBY AND COMPANY, LIMITED.
NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of shareholders of N. BATTERSBY AND COMPANY, LIMITED (in voluntary liquidation), will be held at the office of the Liquidator, 61 Manners Street, Wellington, on Tuesday, the 16th day of May, 1933, at 4.30 p.m., for the purpose of laying before such meeting the Liquidator’s accounts showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the assets of the company disposed of, and to offer any explanation the Liquidator may wish to give, and for the purpose of passing an extraordinary resolution as to the disposal of the books, accounts, and documents of the company, as required by the Companies Act, 1908.

PURSUANT to the Mining Act, 1926, the undersigned Henrietta Pauline McPherson, of Roxburgh, Fruit-farmer, hereby applies for a license for a water-race, as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.

LOCALITY of the race, and of its starting and terminal points: Commencing at a point in Slaughteryard Creek, opposite Mr. Robin Bennett’s dwelling, in Section 14, Block I, Teviot Survey District; thence south to Pomahaka Track, 3 chains; thence east along the north side of the said Pomahaka Track, 20 chains; thence under the Main Road, 1 chain; terminating at Section 64 of said Block I, Teviot Survey District.
Length and intended course of race: 24 chains; in an easterly direction.

Estimated time and cost of construction: Already constructed.
Mean depth and breadth: 1 ft. by 1 ft., and 2 in. piping.

Resolved: “That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. E. G. PINKER be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator.”

In the matter of ALEX. HORN AND SON, LIMITED.
THE following special resolution was, on the 11th day of April, 1933, passed, namely:—
“1. That it is desirable to reconstruct the company, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily, and that CHARLES JOSEPH PAYNE, of Dunedin, Solicitor, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.
“2. That the said Liquidator be and he is hereby authorized to consent to the registration of a new company, to be named ALEX. HORN AND SON, LIMITED, with a memorandum and articles of association which have already been prepared with the privity and approval of this company.
“3. That the draft agreement submitted to this meeting and expressed to be made between this company and its Liquidator of the one part, and ALEX. HORN AND SON, LIMITED, of the other part, be and the same is hereby approved; and the said Liquidator be and he is hereby authorized, pursuant to section 259 of the Companies Act, 1908, to enter into an agreement with such new company when incorporated in the terms of the said draft, and to carry the same into effect with such (if any) modifications as he thinks expedient.”
