Amended Regulations under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, Wellington, this 27th day of March, 1933.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twentieth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-third day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, as amended by Orders in Council of the tenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, the first day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, the twenty-fourth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, the eighteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, and the twentieth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, respectively, regulations were made under the authority of the Acts therein recited, inter alia, prescribing the rates of interest payable on moneys in the Common Fund of the Public Trust Office; and whereas it is desirable to amend such regulations in the manner hereinafter set forth:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, section 32, and of all other powers and authorities in this behalf him enabling, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the regulations set out in the schedule hereto, and doth order that the regulations hereby made shall come into force on and from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three.
SCHEDULE.
Paragraph 1 of the regulations made by Order in Council dated the 10th day of November, 1925, as amended by Orders in Council of the 1st day of August, 1927, the 24th day of March, 1928, the 18th day of December, 1931, and the 20th day of May, 1932, respectively, is hereby further amended by deleting the words “4 per cent.” wherever they appear, and by inserting in lieu thereof the words “3½ per cent.”

Amending Maximum Rates of Interest Payable on Deposits with Building and Investment Societies.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 20th day of March, 1933.

The Right Hon. G. W. Forbes, Presiding in Council.
WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions of section fifty-one of the National Expenditure Adjustment Act, 1932 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), an Order in Council was made on the seventh day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the ninth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, fixing the maximum rates of interest payable on moneys deposited with any building society or any investment society:
And whereas by a further Order in Council dated the eighth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the eleventh day of August, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, such first-mentioned Order in Council was amended and special provision was made fixing the maximum rates of interest payable in the case of the renewal on or before the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, of certain deposits made with building or investment societies in the provincial district of Taranaki:
And whereas it is desirable to amend the maximum rates fixed by such first-mentioned Order in Council in the manner and to the extent hereinafter set forth:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on him by the said Act and of all other powers and authorities in that behalf him enabling, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the maximum rates of interest that may be paid in respect of any period between the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, and the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five (both days being included), by any building society or any investment society shall be the following:
