Date of Election of Insurance Members of the Mosgiel Fire Board.

Wellington, 7th January, 1933.
PURSUANT to section 24 of the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, I, Adam Hamilton, Minister of Internal Affairs, charged with the administration of the said Act, do hereby appoint Thursday, 26th January, 1933, to be the day for the holding of an election of two members of the Mosgiel Fire Board by fire-insurance companies, which for the time being are carrying on business within the Mosgiel Fire District.

Special Order made by Pahiatua County Council declaring Sections 121 and 131, Counties Act, 1920, not to apply to that Council.

PAHIATUA COUNTY COUNCIL.
SPECIAL ORDER DECLARING SECTIONS 121 AND 131 OF THE COUNTIES ACT, 1920, NOT TO APPLY.
THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by section 2 of the Counties Amendment Act, 1932, the Pahiatua County Council resolves by way of special order that sections 121 and 131 of the Counties Act, 1920, shall not apply to the said Pahiatua County Council.

Special Order made by the Wanganui County Council altering Riding Boundaries, and adjusting Representation.

THE following special order made by the Wanganui County Council is published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Act, 1920.
Pursuant to section 100 of that Act, as amended by section 3 of the Counties Amendment Act, 1921–22, I hereby fix the 1st day of April, 1933, as the date on and from which the special order shall take effect.

SPECIAL ORDER.
MERGING THE UPPER WANGAEHU AND MANGAMAHU RIDINGS AND CONSTITUTING THE MANGAMAHU RIDING, PASSED AT A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE WANGANUI COUNTY COUNCIL HELD ON FRIDAY, 9TH SEPTEMBER, 1932, AND DULY CONFIRMED AT THE ORDINARY MEETING OF THE COUNCIL HELD ON FRIDAY, 14TH OCTOBER, 1932.
THAT in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 23 of the Counties Act, 1920, the Wanganui County Council resolves by way of special order, as follows:—
The Upper Wangaehu and Mangamahu Ridings shall be merged into one riding to be known as the Mangamahu Riding, the boundaries of the proposed Mangamahu Riding shall be as follows:—
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District commencing at a point in the Wangaehu River, being the intersection with the middle of that river of the production of the northern boundary of Section 1, Block IV, Ngamatea Survey District; thence proceeding easterly to and along that boundary and along the northern boundary of Section 8, Block IV, aforesaid, and its production to the middle of the Owhakura Road; thence easterly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 7, Block IV, aforesaid; thence southerly to and along that boundary and the eastern boundaries of Sections 6 and 9, Block VIII, Ngamatea Survey District, and easterly along the northern boundary of Pungataua Block and its production to the middle of the Koukoupo Road; thence south-westerly down the middle of that road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 69, Block XVI, Ngamatea Survey District; thence south-easterly to and along that boundary and its production to the middle of Hales Road; thence southerly down the middle of that road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 77, Block XVI, Ngamatea Survey District; thence south-easterly to and along that boundary, easterly along the northern boundary of Section 60, Block XVI, Ngamatea Survey District, and southerly along the eastern boundaries of Sections 60 and 59, Block XVI, Ngamatea Survey District; thence southerly by lines from hill to hill along the summit of the eastern watershed of the Wangaehu River to a point opposite Okaiepi Trig. Station; thence north-westerly by a right line through Okaiepi Trig. to the middle of the Wangaehu River, distant about 18 chains due west of the western boundary of Block XIV Mangawhero Survey District; thence down the middle of that river to its intersection with the middle of the Hoaripu Stream; thence up that stream and across a public road to the western boundary of Section 312, left bank Wanganui River; thence northerly along the western boundary of Section 312 to Trig. Maclean’s Pole; thence northerly along the western boundaries of Otaika, Kaikai, and Te Maire Blocks, and easterly along the northern boundary of Te Maire Block and its production to the middle of the Mangawhero River; thence up the middle of that river to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Puehurangi Block; thence to and along that boundary and the northern boundary and part of the eastern boundary of Waipuna Puharakeke No. 1 Block to the north-west corner of Section 8, Block X, Mangawhero Survey District; thence easterly along part of the northern boundary of that Section 8, and northerly along the western boundaries of Sections 7, 6, and 5, Block X, Mangawhero Survey District and the western boundaries of Sections 4, 3, 2, and 1, Block VII, Mangawhero Survey District to the intersection of the last-mentioned boundary with the middle line of Stock Reserve Road; thence up the middle of that road to its intersection with western boundary Section 9, Block III, Mangawhero Survey District; thence northerly along the western boundaries of Section 9 and Section 4, Block III, Mangawhero Survey District, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Rurutahi Road; thence northerly along the middle of that road to its junction with Te Hue Road; thence northerly up the middle of the Stock Reserve Road to a point in line with the northern Boundary of Taonui 2B Block; thence easterly to and along that boundary to the eastern boundary of Parapara 2B 1 Block; thence northerly along that boundary to the eastern branch of the Hapokopoko Stream, westerly along that stream branch to the western boundary of Parapara 2B 1 Block and northerly along that boundary and its production to the middle of Field’s Track Road; thence northerly along the middle of that road to the middle of the Waokaramu Stream; thence easterly down the middle of that Stream to the middle of the Wangaehu River; thence up the middle of that River to the point of commencement.
I HEREBY certify that the above-written description is sufficient to identify the proposed boundaries of the Mangamahu Riding on the maps of this office.

The ratepayers of the Mangamahu Riding shall elect three members.
This special order shall take effect on the 1st day of April, 1933.—Carried.
