NOTICE is hereby given that, on the 25th day of January, 1932, the following special resolution was entered in the minute-book of W. J. WALLACE, LTD., New Plymouth, and signed by the whole of the shareholders in my company :—
Resolved: “That the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908, and that W. J. WALLACE, of New Plymouth, Company-manager, be hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.”

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 230 of the Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of the members of the above-named company will be held at the offices of the Liquidators, 24 Water Street, Dunedin, on Tuesday, the 16th day of February, 1932, at 3 o’clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidators, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidators thereof shall be disposed of.

GORE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTIONS MAKING SPECIAL RATES.
——
AT a meeting of the Gore Borough Council, held on Monday, 18th January, 1932, the following resolutions were passed :—
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Gore Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
(1) That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £6,000, to be known as “The Drainage and Water Extension Redemption Loan, 1932,” authorized to be raised by the Gore Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of paying off the existing loan, the said Gore Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of a half-penny in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property on the valuation-roll of the Borough of Gore; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a period of twenty years, or as may be determined by the Council, or until the loan is fully paid off.
(2) That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,500, to be known as “The Flood-protection Supplementary Extension Redemption Loan, 1932,” authorized to be raised by the Gore Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of paying off the existing loan, also advertising and printing expenses of new loan, the Gore Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fourth of a penny in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property on the valuation-roll of the Borough of Gore; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable half-yearly on 1st March and 1st September in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being for a period of seven years, or as may be determined by the Council, or until the loan is fully paid off.

MANAWATU DRAINAGE BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATES.
——
Relief of Unemployment Loan of £500 (No. 2), 1931.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Empowering (Relief of Unemployment) Act, 1926, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and the Land Drainage Act, 1908, and all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Manawatu Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Relief of Unemployment Loan of £500 (No. 2), 1931, authorized to be raised by the Manawatu Drainage Board under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of providing transport and supervision in finding of work for the unemployed under No. 5 Scheme in the improvement of the drainage of the district, the said Board makes and levies the special differential rates on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Manawatu Drainage District—
On lands classified “A,” a special rate of forty-five four-thousandths (45/4,000ths) of a penny in the pound sterling :
On lands classified “B,” a special rate of twenty-seven four-thousandths (27/4,000ths) of a penny in the pound sterling :
On lands classified “C,” a special rate of eighteen four-thousandths (18/4,000ths) of a penny in the pound sterling :
and that such special differential rates shall be annually recurring rates during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
