Portions of Kaipara Consolidation Scheme confirmed.
In the matter of Section 161 of the Native Land Act, 1931.
NOTICE is hereby given that a scheme of consolidation
(in part) affecting Aorora and other blocks covering
Series H, J, and M of the Kaipara Consolidation Scheme, and
dated the 11th day of December, 1931, having been prepared
by the Native Land Court in accordance with the Native
Land Act, 1909, and submitted under the seal of the said
Court to the Native Minister for his approval, I, Apirana
Turupa Ngata, as such Native Minister, being satisfied that
the three portions of the scheme so submitted are just and
equitable, and are in the public interest, do hereby confirm
the portions of the said scheme of consolidation so submitted.

Child Welfare Amendment Act, 1927.
IN pursuance of the power vested in me by section 6,
subsection (1), of the Child Welfare Amendment Act,
1927, I, Robert Masters, Minister of Education, do hereby
notify that the Home of the Good Shepherd for Girls,
"Mount St. Joseph's," Waikovai, has been registered as
a Children's Home as from the date hereof.

Dunedin Fire Board has been reported to the Minister
of Internal Affairs, and is notified in accordance with the
rules under the Fire Brigades Act, 1926.

Open Season for Wapiti Shooting, Southland Acclimatization
District.
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals
Protection and Game Act, 1921-22, I, Adam Hamilton,
Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of New Zealand,
do hereby declare the period from the 1st day of March, 1932,
to the 30th day of April, 1932 (both days inclusive), to be an
open season in that portion of the Southland Acclimatization
District described in the First Schedule hereto for the taking
or killing of the following imported game—viz., wapiti—
subject to the following conditions.
CONDITIONS.
-
LICENSES to take or kill wapiti stags and hinds may be
issued by the Chief Postmaster, Invercargill, on the recom-
mendation of the Secretary of the Southland Acclimatization
Society, on payment of a license fee of £5, in the form pre-
scribed in the Second Schedule hereto, and subject to the
said Act and regulations thereunder and this notification:
Provided that not more than one such license shall be issued
to the same person. Licenses to be issued only to parties of
two stalkers. -
No licensee shall allow any dog to accompany either
himself or any attendant he may have with him. -
The fees paid for licenses issued pursuant to this notifica-
tion shall, after deducting the cost of and incidental to the
issue of such licenses, and any other expenses in connection
therewith, be paid to the Department of Internal Affairs and
the Southland Acclimatization Society in equal proportions. -
Any person committing a breach of any of these con-
ditions is liable on conviction to a fine of £20.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
All that area in the Southland Land District, bounded by a
line commencing at a point on the shore of Bligh Sound due
west of Alarm Mountain; thence by a right line to Alarm
Mountain; thence to and along the summit of the Franklin
Mountains to a point due east of the Narrows, North Fiord,
Lake Te Anau; thence to and by North Fiord, Lake Te Anau,
and Middle Fiord, and the south-western arm of middle Fiord
to its intersection with a line running between Mt. Pisgah and
Mt. Lyall; thence by a right line to Mt. Pisgah; thence by a
right line to Barrier Peaks; thence by a right line to Saddle
Back Peak; thence by a right line to Toe Cove, Nancy Sound;
thence by Nancy Sound to the sea; thence by the sea to
Bligh Sound; thence by Bligh Sound to a point due west of
Alarm Mountain, the point of commencement.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
License to take or kill Imported Game (Wapiti).
, of , having this day paid the sum of £5,
is hereby authorized to take or kill wapiti stags and hinds
within that portion of the Southland Acclimatization District
described in the endorsement hereon from the 1st day of
March, 1932, to the 30th day of April, 1932 (both days
inclusive), subject to the provisions of the Animals Protection
and Game Act, 1921-22, and all regulations and notifications
affecting wapiti made thereunder and in force within the
said area.
