Member of Island Council of Niue appointed.

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

Pursuant to the authority vested in me by section sixty-five of the Cook Islands Act, 1915, and by an Order in Council of the twenty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, establishing (inter alia) an Island Council for the Island of Niue in the Cook Islands, and determining the constitution thereof, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby nominate and appoint

Hale Nemaia

to be a member of the said Island Council of Niue, in lieu of Hamoa Vakaimotu (deceased), to hold office during my pleasure as from the date hereof.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 26th day of January, 1932.

Appointing the Members of the Central Licensing Authority under the Transport Licensing Act, 1931.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Transport Licensing Act, 1931, I, Joseph Gordon Coates, Minister of Transport, do hereby appoint for a term of one year from the date hereof the persons described in the Schedule hereto as members of the Central Licensing Authority for the purposes of the said Act, and I do hereby appoint the Honourable Justice Francis Vernon Frazer to be Chairman of the said Authority.

THE REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY.

THE TABANAKI REGIMENT.

Captain W. W. Thomas, 2nd C Battalion is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 8. Dated 17th December, 1931.


THE CANTERBURY REGIMENT.

Captain C. A. S. Hind, M.C., 3rd C Battalion, is posted to the Retired List, with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 10th December, 1931.

Lieutenant M. Leadbetter, 1st C Battalion, to be Captain. Dated 3rd August, 1931.

2nd Lieutenant W. G. Jolly, 4th C Battalion, resigns his commission. Dated 9th December, 1931.

THE OTAGO REGIMENT.

The undermentioned 2nd Lieutenants (supernumerary to establishment) are transferred to the N.Z. Medical Corps. Dated 16th December, 1931:—
