Portions of Roads in the County of Taieri,* exempted from the
Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928.

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 26th day
of January, 1932.

Present:
THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the
Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in
anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following
resolution passed by the Taieri County Council on the twenty-
seventh day of November, one thousand nine hundred and
thirty-one, the portions of roads affected by such resolution
being more particularly described in the Schedule hereto,
viz. :

“ The Taieri County Council, being the local authority
having control of the roads in the County of Taieri, by
resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred
and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not
apply to the district roads coloured red on plan of sub-
division of Sections 23 and 1021r, part Sections 16, 17, 18,
19, 20, 21, 22, 24, 25, and part closed road C.T. 112/32,
Block IV, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District.”

SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of road adjoining or passing through Sec-
tion 25, Block IV, Dunedin and East Taieri District ; marked
“ A-B ” on plan.

The north-western side generally of all that portion of road
fronting Section 25 and part Section 24, Block IV, Dunedin
and East Taieri District ; marked “ C-D ” on plan.

All that portion of road adjoining or passing through parts
Section 51, parts closed road (Crown land), Sections 24, 20,
19, and 17, Block IV, Dunedin and East Taieri District ;
marked “ E-F ” on plan.

All that portion of road adjoining or passing through Sec-
tions 51, 17, and 16, Block IV, Dunedin and East Taieri
District ; marked “ G-H ” on plan.

The southern side of all that portion of road fronting part
Section 16, Block IV, Dunedin and East Taieri District ;
marked “ H-I ” on plan.

All in the Otago Land District, Taieri County ; as the said
portions of roads are more particularly delineated on the plan
marked P.W.D. 83218, deposited in the office of the Minister
of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Recreation Reserve in Auckland Land District brought under
Part II of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks
Act, 1928.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 26th day of
January, 1932.

Present:
THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by
the thirty-fourth section of the Public Reserves,
Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, I, Charles, Baron
Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the
reserve for recreation in the Auckland Land District described
in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought
under the operation of, and declared to be subject to, the
provisions of Part II of the said Act ; and such reserve shall
hereafter be known as the Te Miro Domain, and be managed,
administered, and dealt with as a public domain.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—TE MIRO DOMAIN.

SECTIONS 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 34, Te Miro Township, Te Miro
Settlement : Area, 3 acres.

Regulations as to the Constitution of the Maori Arts and Crafts
Board and Matters relevant thereto.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 26th day
of January, 1932.

Present:
THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon him by section forty-eight of the Native
Purposes Act, 1931, and of all other powers and authorities
him enabling, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby revoke the regulations with respect to the Board
of Maori Arts made on the sixth day of June, one thousand
nine hundred and twenty-seven, and published in the New
Zealand Gazette on the ninth day of June, one thousand nine
hundred and twenty-seven, and doth hereby make the fol-
lowing regulations with respect to the Maori Arts and Crafts
Board for the purpose of giving effect to the said section
forty-eight.

REGULATIONS.

  1. IN these regulations—

“ Board ” means the Maori Arts and Crafts Board :
“ Chairman ” and “ Deputy Chairman ” mean respectively
the Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Board :
“ Member ” means a member of the Board :
“ Under-Secretary ” means the Under-Secretary of
Native Affairs :
“ The said section ” means section forty-eight of the
Native Purposes Act, 1931.

MEMBERS.

  1. The Board shall consist of the following members :—
    (a) The Native Minister, who shall be Chairman :
    (b) The Under-Secretary of Native Affairs, who shall be
    Deputy Chairman :
    (c) The Under-Secretary of Internal Affairs :
    (d) Such other persons as may from time to time be
    appointed in that behalf by the Governor-General.

  2. Subject to the provisions of these regulations as to
    death, resignation, or removal from office, a member appointed
    under paragraph (d) of clause 2 shall hold office for a period
    of two years, but a retiring member may be reappointed :
    Provided, however, that the members of the Board of Maori
    Arts appointed and holding office at the date of commence-
    ment of these regulations shall be deemed to have been
    appointed under these regulations, and shall continue to hold
    office until such time as members are appointed under these
    regulations.

  3. For any cause which may seem to him sufficient, the
    Governor-General may at any time remove from office any
    member appointed under paragraph (d) of clause 2, and may
    fill any vacancy caused by the death, resignation, or removal
    of any such member.

  4. The powers of the Board shall not be affected by any
    vacancy in the membership thereof.

MEETINGS.

  1. The Board shall meet for the despatch of business at
    such times and places as the Board, the Chairman, or Deputy
    Chairman may from time to time direct.

  2. Once at least in every year a meeting (hereinafter called
    “ the annual meeting ”) shall be held at such time and place
    as shall be fixed by the Chairman.

  3. At every meeting the Chairman, or in his absence the
    Deputy Chairman, shall preside. If neither of these members
    is present, then some member chosen by the members present
    shall preside.

  4. A quorum at any meeting of the Board shall consist of
    three members, and no business beyond adjournment of the
    meeting shall be transacted unless a quorum is then present.

  5. The Board shall decide all questions before it by a
    majority of votes. In case of an equality of votes the Chair-
    man or other member presiding shall have a casting-vote as
    well as a deliberative vote.

  6. Subject to the said section and to these regulations, the
    Board may regulate its own proceedings.

  7. All proceedings and resolutions of the Board shall be
    recorded in a minute-book to be kept for the purpose by the
    Secretary of the Board.
