Insurance Companies’ Deposits Act, 1921–22.—Home Insurance Company, Limited.
NOTICE OF CESSATION OF BUSINESS.
THE Home Insurance Company, Limited, has given notice to the Public Trustee, pursuant to the provisions of the Insurance Companies’ Deposits Act, 1921–22 :—
- That the Home Insurance Company, Limited, has sold to the Halifax Fire Insurance Company all its fire and accident insurance business in New Zealand.
- That the Home Insurance Company, Limited, has ceased to carry on in New Zealand the business of fire insurance, accident insurance, and all other classes of insurance business within the meaning of the Insurance Companies’ Deposits Act, 1921–22, and its amendments.
- That the Halifax Fire Insurance Company has undertaken to accept all liability arising under any policies issued by the Home Insurance Company, Limited, or under any renewals of such policies.
- That in all policies taken over on expiry from the Home Insurance Company, Limited, the renewed policy will show that the Halifax Fire Insurance Company is the contracting party, and no policies will be renewed in the name of the Home Insurance Company, Limited.
The Public Trustee therefore gives notice that any objection to the release, in accordance with section 8 of the Insurance Companies’ Deposits Act, 1921–22, of the deposit made by the Home Insurance Company, Limited, must be lodged with the Public Trustee at the Public Trust Office, Wellington, on or before the 1st May, 1933.

British Official Wireless Messages to Merchant Ships.
Former Admiralty Notices: No. 2120 of 1931, and No. 12 of 1932, in force. No. 571 of 1932 hereby cancelled.
Amendments to Notice No. 2120 of 1931 :—
Para. 1.—Amend portion underlined to read: “These reports, together with copies of messages received, should be rendered by operators to the Masters of their ships, and transmitted by the latter to the shipowners, who will forward them to the Board of Trade, London.”
Amend the sentence commencing, “It is particularly desired” to the following: “It is particularly desired that ships listening for, but failing to receive the test messages, either wholly or in part, should render returns, giving their positions, areas, &c., and, if possible, any reasons for non-reception; ships unable to listen for test messages should render blank returns, giving their positions, areas, &c., together with reasons for their inability to listen.”
Para. 8.—Add at end: (Falklands on 125 kc/s only.)
Schedule, Area 2.—Replace St. Angelo by Malta.
Details: Tests of the above organization will be carried out during the week commencing 1st January, 1933.
It is particularly desired that ships in Areas 4, 8, 10, and 11 should, in addition to listening for the stations allocated to their Area, and for Rugby and Falklands, listen for and report on the reception of :—
(a) Esquimalt, on 6,200 kc/s (48·39 m.).
(b) Sydney and Perth on 8,640 kc/s (34·72 m.).
