Allocating to the Purposes of a Street Land in the Borough of Dannevirke taken for a Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land which is described in the Schedule hereto (and which was taken for the purposes of the Wellington–Napier Railway, and which is no longer required for such purposes), shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a street, and that such street shall be maintained by the Dannevirke Borough Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.
