Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Street in the Borough of Lower Hutt, near Woburn.

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Wellington-Napier Railway (Lower Hutt Valley Duplication), and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a street:

Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section two hundred and twenty-six of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a street, and that the said street shall be under the control of the Lower Hutt Borough Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land : 2·64 perches. Portion of Railway Reserve (part Section 14, Hutt R.D.), Block XIV, Belmont Survey District, Borough of Lower Hutt. (S.O. 169/28.)

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 2166, deposited in the office of the Government Railways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 13th day of October, 1932.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a road the land in Lyndon Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto ; and also do hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

LAND PROCLAIMED AS A ROAD.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land proclaimed as a road :

A. R. P. Being Portion of 3 3 13·2 Reserve 3657 ; coloured yellow. 6 0 23·0 Rural Section 36795 ; coloured pink.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

ROAD CLOSED.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of road closed :- A. R. P. Adjoining or passing through 1 3 29·0 Reserve 3657, and Rural Section 36795 ; coloured green. 0 2 19·7 Reserve 3657, and Rural Section 36795 ; coloured green.

All situated in Block II, Lyndon Survey District (Canterbury R.D.). (S.O. 952/175.)

All in the Canterbury Land District ; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan P.W.D. 84508, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 17th day of October, 1932.
