CARR AND HASLAM, LIMITED.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of CARR AND HASLAM, LIMITED.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Order of the Supreme Court of New Zealand (Northern District) dated the 23rd day of September, 1932, confirming the reduction of the capital of the above-named company from £10,000 to £5,000 and the minute (approved by the Court) showing with respect to the capital of the company, as altered, the particulars required by the above statute were registered by the Deputy Registrar of Companies at Auckland on the 29th day of September, 1932.

And further take notice that the said minute is in the words and figures following: “The capital of Carr and Haslam, Limited, is £5,000, divided into 10,000 shares of 10s. each instead of £10,000 divided into 10,000 shares of £1 each. At the date of the registration of this minute each share is to be deemed to be fully paid up.”

STEVENS AND HALL.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

THE Partnership lately carried on by the undersigned under the name of “Stevens and Hall” has been dissolved.

Mr. Stevens will continue to carry on the business as sole proprietor under the name of “Stevens and Hall” at the old address, and he will pay and satisfy the liabilities of the partnership.

IN LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that in pursuance of sections 230 and 252 of the Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of the members of the company will be held at the office of Messrs. Rainbow, Hobbs, and Nesbitt, 126 Queen Street, Hastings, at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, the 18th October, 1932, for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidator thereof, shall be disposed of.

GOLDEN CHANCE MINING COMPANY, LIMITED.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of the GOLDEN CHANCE MINING COMPANY, LIMITED.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the Golden Chance Mining Company, Limited, held in the registered office of the company, Melmore Terrace, Cromwell, on Friday, 16th September, 1932, the following extraordinary resolutions were carried, viz.:

Resolved—“That the company accepts the offer for the company’s claim received from the Amalgamated Kawarau Gold Mining Company, Limited, and more particularly as made in that company’s circular invitation to claimholders, dated 30th August, 1932; and that the company accordingly transfers its assets to the Amalgamated Kawarau Gold Mining Company, Limited; and, further, that in pursuance of section 6 (1) of the Kawarau Gold-mining Amalgamation Act, 1930, the company be voluntarily wound up.”

Resolved—“That for the purposes of such voluntary winding-up, Mr. J. L. Stewart Wright, of Cromwell, Accountant, be appointed Liquidator, at a fee of twenty-five guineas.”

COROMANDEL COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND AND TO CLOSE PORTIONS OF ROAD.

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Coromandel County Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute a certain public work—namely, the deviation known as Potter’s Deviation of the Mercury Bay Ferry and Whenuakite Road; and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the First Schedule hereto are required to be taken and the portions of road described in the Second Schedule hereto are required to be closed.

Notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken and of the portions of road so required to be closed is deposited in the public office of the Clerk of the said Council, situate at Kapanga Road, Coromandel, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands or the closing of such portions of road who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such lands or the closing of such portions of road, must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers.

NOTICE is hereby given that in accordance with the provisions of section 168 subsection (6) of the Companies Act, 1908, the members of the above company at a special meeting held on the 27th September, 1932, duly passed the following resolution:—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that JOHN MCLENNAN, of Napier, Public Accountant, be appointed Liquidator.”
