Notices constituting Regimental Districts amended.

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority conferred on me by the Defence Act, 1909, and its amendments, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General, do hereby amend the Gazette notices relative to regimental districts as mentioned in the Schedule hereto, in the manner and to the extent set out in the said Schedule, and do hereby declare that such amendments shall take effect as from the 1st October, 1932.

SCHEDULE.

  1. The notice published in Gazette No. 35, dated 15th May, 1930, constituting No. 4 Regimental District, is amended by deleting the words “Manakau, Franklin.”

  2. The notice published in Gazette No. 60, dated 13th August, 1931, reconstituting No. 1 Regimental District, is amended by inserting after “comprising” the words “the counties of Manakau and Franklin.”

to be Clerk and Bailiff of the Magistrates’ Court at Tolaga Bay for the purposes of the Magistrates’ Courts Act, 1928, as from the 20th day of September, 1932.

Appointment of Deputy District Public Trustee.

NOTICE is hereby given that in pursuance of the power and authority vested in me by section 3 of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1921–22, I, the Public Trustee of the Dominion of New Zealand, have appointed John Gordon McGhie of the Public Trust Office, Wellington, to be Deputy of the District Public Trustee, Blenheim, during the absence of such District Public Trustee from his headquarters, and all previous appointments in this behalf are hereby revoked.

IT is hereby notified for general information that, under the Summer Time Act, 1929, summer time commences at 2 o’clock New Zealand standard time in the morning of Sunday, the 9th instant, and ends at 2 o’clock, New Zealand standard time, in the morning of Sunday, 19th March, 1933.

For the purpose of giving effect to the Act the time will therefore be advanced thirty minutes as from 2 a.m., New Zealand standard time, on Sunday, the 9th instant, and be put back thirty minutes as from 2 a.m., New Zealand standard time, on Sunday, 19th March, 1933.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block II, Tokaanu Survey District, for the Purposes of a Roadman’s Cottage-site.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of a roadman’s cottage-site. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Post-office at Tokaanu, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 3 acres 1 rood 26 perches.

Being portion of Opawa-Rangitoto Block.

Situated in Block II, Tokaanu Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 26774.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked T.W.D. 84627, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

SPECIAL ORDER MADE BY THE FEATHERSTON COUNTY COUNCIL ON THE 12TH DAY OF AUGUST, 1932.

In pursuance of section 2, subsection (1), of the Counties Amendment Act, 1931, the Featherston County Council hereby declares that sections 121 and 131 of the Counties Act, 1920, shall not apply to the Featherston County Council.

We hereby certify that the above Special Order was duly made.
