CROWN LANDS NOTICES.
Lands in the Wellington Land District for Sale or Selection.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Wellington, 13th September, 1932.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned lands will be opened for sale or selection in terms of the Land Act, 1924, and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 24th October, 1932.
Applicants should appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, on Wednesday, 26th October, 1932, at 10 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board, or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The lands may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or on deferred payments, or be selected on renewable lease.

SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.
SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Horowhenua County.—Kaitawa Survey District.
SECTION 1, Block XI: Area, 515 acres. Capital value, £250; deposit on deferred payments, £15; half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £7 12s. 9d.; half-yearly rent on renewable lease, £5..
Weighted in favour of the Superintendent, State Advances Department, with the sum of £200, for improvements comprising six-roomed dwelling (in bad repair) and 150 chains fencing (also in a state of disrepair).
A cash deposit of £65 is required, and the balance may be secured on instalment mortgage for a term of thirty years; interest 6 per cent. per annum.
Situated in the valley of the Waikanae Stream, eight miles from Waikanae Railway-station by formed and metalled road. Section is all hilly to steep. The bush on about 250 acres has been milled and felled, and the land is now in fern and scrub, while the balance of the section is in freshly milled bush. The section is well watered, but the quality of the soil is very poor.
THIRD-CLASS LAND.
Waitotara County.—Waipakura Survey District.
Part 2 of Section 28, Block V: Area, 1,269 acres 2 roods 15 perches. Capital value, £300; deposit on deferred payments, £30; half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £8 15s. 6d.; half-yearly rent on renewable lease, £6.
Weighted with the sum of £1,200, for improvements comprising dwelling and outbuildings, wool-shed, whare, 270 chains of fencing, and felling and grassing. The whole sum may be secured to the Superintendent, State Advances Department for a term of thirty years; interest at 6 per cent. per annum.
This area is situated on the Ridge Road twenty miles from Wanganui Post-office, Railway-station, and Saleyards, and ten miles from Brunswick School. Access by seventeen miles of metalled road and three miles unmetalled. There is sufficient easy country for homestead, wool-shed, &c., the balance being steep and broken country suitable for grazing only. The soil is of a medium quality resting on clay and sandstone. About 1,000 acres have been felled and grassed, but have very much deteriorated. Balance of area is in standing bush not capable of economical development. Property has been subdivided into six paddocks, but fences are now in a bad state of repair.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be offered for sale by public auction for cash or on deferred payments at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, on Monday, 17th October, 1932, at 2.30 p.m., under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.
