NOTICE is hereby given that by entry in its minute-book made on the 2nd day of August, 1932, pursuant to the provisions of section 168 (6) of the Companies Act, 1908, it was resolved that the company be voluntarily wound up, and that Mr. G. H. METCALFE, of Auckland, Solicitor, be appointed Liquidator of the company.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 230 of the Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of the members of the above-named company will be held at the offices of the Liquidators, 24 Water Street, Dunedin, on Wednesday, the twenty-fourth day of August, 1932, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidators, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidators thereof shall be disposed of.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and in the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Timaru Borough Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute a certain public work—namely, the widening of Hunt Street, in the Borough of Timaru—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken :

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council situated in King George’s Place, Timaru, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours, which are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on week-days, except on Saturdays, when such hours are from 9 a.m. to noon. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land, or any part thereof, who have any well-grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land or any part thereof must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, King George’s Place, Timaru aforesaid.

SCHEDULE.

The land is situated in Hunt Street, in the Borough of Timaru, and is part of Lot 28 on deposit plan 12, and comprises—

(a) 9·1 perches, more or less, coloured pink on the said plan.

(b) 4·5 perches, more or less, coloured blue on the said plan.

(c) 4·5 perches, more or less, coloured pink on the said plan.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and of The Station Cash Stores, Limited, Putaruru.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company held on Monday, the 1st day of August, 1932, it was resolved that the company be would up voluntarily, and that GEORGE NATHANAEL CHRISTIAN be appointed Liquidator.

All creditors of the said company are requested to send in their claims to the Liquidator on or before the 7th day of September, 1932.

PETITION FOR WINDING UP.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and of the Ratadale Sawmilling Company, Ltd.

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was on the 22nd day of July, 1932, presented to Mr. Justice Blair, a Judge of the Supreme Court, by Malcolm Macdonald McIntyre, a creditor of the said company, and the said petition is directed to be heard before a Judge of the said Court at the Supreme Court House, at Wellington, on the 19th day of August, 1932 ; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to oppose the making of an order for the winding-up of the said company under the above Act should appear at the time of hearing by himself or his counsel for that purpose ; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same by the undersigned on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and its Amendments, and in the matter of the Timaru Shopfitting Co., Ltd.

NOTICE is hereby given that the following resolution has been recorded in the minute-book of the company on the 5th August, 1932, and has been signed by all of the shareholders :—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily, as it has been proved that, by reason of its liabilities, it cannot continue to carry on its business ; and that Mr. A. C. MARTIN, Public Accountant, Timaru, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator.”

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership lately subsisting between us, ERIC ROBERTS and HAROLD LESLIE LAING, carrying on business at Newmarket, Auckland, as Coal and Firewood Dealers, under the style of “Roberts & Laing,” was dissolved on the 4th day of August, 1932.

The business will henceforth be carried on in his own name by the said HAROLD LESLIE LAING, who will pay all debts due by and collect all accounts owing to the said Partnership.

In the matter of Roxburgh Fruitgrowers, Ltd.

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company, duly convened, and held at Roxburgh on the 19th day of July, 1932, the following special resolution was duly passed, and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the members of the said company, also duly convened, and held at the same place, on the 28th day of July, 1932, the following resolution was duly confirmed, viz. :—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily,” and at such last-mentioned meeting RICHARD GEORGE, JAMES BRUCE GILMOUR, and ROBERT TELFORD KINASTON were appointed Liquidators for the purpose of the winding-up.
