CROWN LANDS NOTICES.
Settlement Land in Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 10th August, 1932.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section
is open for selection on renewable lease under the
Land Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925;
and applications will be received at the District Lands and
Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o'clock p.m., on Monday,
29th August, 1932.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the
District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Tuesday,
30th August, 1932, at 10 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is
unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land
Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the
examination of applicants.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—THIRD-CLASS LAND.—SETTLEMENT LAND.
Piako County.—Te Miro Settlement.
Lot 1 of Section 29s, and Lot 1 of Section 32s ; Area,
227 acres 1 rood 32 perches. Capital value, £75. Renewable
lease : half-yearly rent, £1 17s. 6d.
Weighted with £95, for improvements consisting of 50 acres
grassing (surface-sown) and 90 chains of fencing in poor
condition. This sum is payable in cash or by a cash deposit
of £5, the balance (£90) to be secured by instalment mortgage
repayable over a period of ten years by instalments of
principal and interest combined, amounting to £5 18s. 4d.
per half-year.
Grazing property, situated in the Te Miro Settlement,
approximately seven miles from Cambridge Post-office, Railway-station, and Saleyards by a metalled road, three miles
from Goodwood School, and five miles and a half from Hautapu Dairy Factory.
Hilly section, of which approximately 50 acres are in
worn-out pasture, and the balance in its natural state.
The soil is a light loam resting on clay and sandstone
formation. Watered by streams and springs. Ragwort
requires attention.
Not suitable for use as a separate holding, but should work
in satisfactorily with other land held in the locality.

Education Reserves in Wellington Land District for Lease by Public Auction.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Wellington, 10th August, 1932.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned education reserves will be offered for lease by public auction
at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, at
2.30 o'clock p.m. on Wednesday, 14th September, 1932, under
the provisions of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, and the
Public Bodies' Leases Act, 1908, and amendments.
SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.
Waimarino County.—Raetihi Township.
Section 85, Block VI : Area, 1 rood. Upset annual rental,
10s.
Weighted with the sum of £217, for improvements consisting of a four-roomed dwelling, with spare room, washhouse,
and fowl-house, also fencing, &c. A cash deposit of £17 is
required, the balance of £200 to be secured by instalment
mortgage to the Superintendent, State Advances Office, for
a term of twenty years, and bearing interest at the rate of
6 per cent. per annum.
Situated within the Township of Raetihi half a mile from
the railway-station. A good, dry, level section, well sheltered.
Section 164, Block VIII : Area, 1 rood. Upset annual
rental, £1.
Situated within the Borough of Raetihi, with frontage to
Queen Street, half a mile from Raetihi Railway-station. A
level section in grass.
Town of Levin.
Section 2, Block III : Area, 1 rood. Upset annual rental,
£5.
Situated in the Town of Levin, with frontage to Salisbury
Street. A good, level, building section. Municipal water-supply.
Pohangina County.—Gorge Survey District.
Section 5, Block VII : Area, 49 acres 2 roods. Upset
annual rental, £2 10s.
Situated about six miles from Woodville by four miles of
metalled and two miles of partly metalled road. Hilly,
broken land, covered in light bush consisting principally of
tawhero and rangiora, with a dense undergrowth.
Altitude 2,000 ft. to 2,600 ft. above sea-level.
Term of lease : Twenty-one years from 1st January, 1933,
with perpetual right of renewal for further successive terms of
twenty-one years.
Form of lease may be perused and full particulars obtained
at the office of the Commissioner of Crown Lands.

STATE FOREST SERVICE NOTICE.
Land in Canterbury Forest-conservation Region acquired as a Permanent State Forest.
State Forest Service,
Wellington, 4th August, 1932.
NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of section 4 of
the Forests Amendment Act, 1925, the land described
in the First Schedule hereto was acquired as a permanent
State forest on 2nd June, 1932, in exchange for the land
described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—CANTERBURY FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by
admeasurement 24 acres 3 roods 16 perches, more or less,
being part of Rural Section 36795, situated in Block II,
Lyndon Survey District, and bounded generally as follows :
Towards the north-east by Reserve 3945 (State Forest, Gazette
1924, page 802); towards the south by Reserve 4071 (State
Forest, Gazette 1924, page 1361); and towards the west by a
public road. As the same is more particularly delineated on
plan No. 129/36, deposited with the Head Office of the State
Forest Service, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

SECOND SCHEDULE.
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—CANTERBURY FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by
admeasurement 15 acres, more or less, being part of Rural
Section 36795, situated in Block II, Lyndon Survey District,
and bounded as follows : Towards the north by a public road,
3000 links; and towards the east, south, and west by other
part of Rural Section 36795, 500 links, 3000 links, and
500 links, respectively. As the same is more particularly
delineated on plan No. 129/34, deposited in the Head Office
of the State Forest Service, at Wellington, and thereon
bordered red.
Also all that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 8 acres 0 roods 13·7 perches, more
or less, being part of Reserve 3657, situated in Block II,
Lyndon Survey District, and bounded as follows : Towards
the east by another part of Reserve 3657, 317·5 and 268·7
links; towards the south by a public road, 1846·7 links; and
towards the north-west and north by another part of Reserve
3657, 1017 links, 694·3 links, and 420·8 links.
Also all that area, containing by admeasurement 3 acres
0 roods 18 perches, more or less, being part of Reserve 3657,
situated in Block II, Lyndon Survey District, and bounded as
follows : Towards the east by a public road, 554 links;
towards the south by a public road, 629·4 links; and towards
the west and north-west by another part of Reserve 3657,
248·6 links, 237·5 links, and 607·3 links.
As the same are more particularly delineated on plan
No. 129/35, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest
Service, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
