Nelson Education Board.

EXTRAORDINARY VACANCY.—NORTH WARD.

IN connection with the extraordinary vacancy due to the
retirement of Mr. E. P. J. Trevena, the following nomina-
tion was received :—

Carling, Frank Alexander.

As the nominations received did not exceed the number of
vacancies, I hereby declare Frank Alexander Carling duly
elected.

ELECTION OF FOUR MEMBERS.

IT is hereby publicly notified that the following nominations
have been received :—

Nelson Urban Area—
Wood, Harold.

East Ward—
Scantlebury, Edward John.

North Ward—
Baigent, William Charles.
Bruce, James.

West Ward—
McIntyre, William Henderson.

The number of nominations received for the North Ward
exceeded the number of vacancies, and at the election held
on 20th July, 1932, the following votes were received by the
respective candidates :—

Informal .. .. 4

The number of nominations received for the Nelson Urban
Area, East Ward, and West Ward did not exceed the number
of vacancies, and I therefore declare Harold Wood, Edward
John Scantlebury, William Charles Baigent, and William
Henderson McIntyre duly elected to the four vacancies on
the Board.
