Recreation Reserve in Nelson Land District brought under Part II of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 8th day of August, 1932.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the thirty-fourth section of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Nelson Land District, described in the Schedule hereto, shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and such reserve shall hereafter form part of the Waimangaroa Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain by the Waimangaroa Domain Board.

Suspending the Operation of certain Statutes in connection with the Canterbury Winter Show and Exhibition of Industries.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 8th day of August, 1932.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the Exhibitions Act, 1910 (hereinafter called "the said Act"), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the holding of a public exhibition of works of industry and art to be conducted by the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association (Incorporated) and the Canterbury Manufacturers' Association (Incorporated) in the King Edward Barracks at Christchurch, from the sixth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, to the twentieth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two (both days inclusive), and to be known as the Canterbury Winter Show and Exhibition of Industries, and doth hereby declare the said exhibition to be an exhibition within the meaning of the said Act, and doth hereby suspend, subject, however, to the conditions set out in the Schedule hereto, all the provisions of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921-22, the Factories Act, 1921-22, and the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925, and of all awards and industrial agreements in force under the last-named Act in so far as such provisions relate to the hours of commencing or ceasing work, or to the issue of permits for overtime or extended hours, or to holidays or half-holidays, or to the closing of shops to any person, and so far as such provisions relate to hours of work done or business conducted or service carried out in or upon the premises aforesaid during the period aforesaid by or on behalf of the bodies conducting the said exhibition, or by or on behalf of any exhibitor of works of industry or art at the said exhibition, or by any person employed in or about the said exhibition.

SCHEDULE.

(1) EIGHT hours shall constitute a day's work in or about the exhibition, and, with the exception set out in clause 2 hereof, such hours shall be worked consecutively.

(2) No person shall be employed in or about the exhibition for more than four hours without an interval of at least three-quarters of an hour for a meal.

(3) Any person employed during any day in or about the exhibition who is employed on such day in excess of eight hours or before the hour of 8 a.m. or after the hour of 10.30 p.m. (whether such excess employment is in or about the exhibition or otherwise) shall be paid for such excess employment at not less than one-half as much again as the ordinary rate for the first two hours and at not less than twice the ordinary rate thereafter, and any person employed in or about the exhibition on any day that would, but for the provisions of this Order in Council, have been a whole holiday for such person by virtue of any Act or of any award or industrial agreement shall be paid for all work done on such day at not less than twice the ordinary rate, whether such work is performed wholly in or about the exhibition or otherwise.

(4) No female shall be employed in or about the exhibition after the hour of 10.30 p.m.

(5) For the purposes of the enforcement of an award or industrial agreement, any provision of which has been suspended by this Order in Council, any officer of the industrial union or association concerned, who is authorized in writing in that behalf by such union or association, shall be entitled to interview at his place of employment any person employed in or about the exhibition under that award or industrial agreement at such time or times as may be agreed upon by and between such officer and the employer of such person, and for this purpose any such officer shall be entitled at any reasonable time to have access to the register of passes issued by the Canterbury Winter Show and Exhibition Executive.

(6) Nothing in this Order in Council shall be deemed to affect any provisions in an award or industrial agreement relating to preference of employment.

Withdrawing Land from the Operation of the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 8th day of August, 1932.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and sixty-two of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General may, by Order in Council on the recommendation of the Land Board, declare that any land comprised in a kauri-gum reserve shall, from a date to be specified in the Order, cease to be subject to the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908, and on and after the date so specified the land to which the Order relates shall become subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924 :

And whereas the Land Board of the North Auckland Land District has duly passed a resolution recommending that portion of the Puketotara Kauri-gum Reserve, as described in the Schedule hereto, be excepted from the operations of the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation :

Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section one hundred and sixty-two of the Land Act, 1924, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that portion of the Puketotara Kauri-gum Reserve, as described in the Schedule hereto, shall, from the nineteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, cease to be subject to the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Bay of Islands County, situate in Block I, Kawakawa Survey District, containing by admeasurement 78 acres, more or less, and being portion of Puketotara Kauri-gum Reserve, as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1901, No. 31, page 757, bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on a public road bearing 73° 37' distance 774 links; and bearing 101° distance 899.1 links approximately from the north-eastern corner of Section 13, Block IV, Omapere Survey District; thence on the north by the aforesaid road bearing 101° distance 190 links approximately; bearing 85° 50' distance 1009.6 links; bearing 75° 39' distance 942.2 links; and bearing 83° 15' distance 816 links; on the east by the other portion of Puketotara Kauri-gum Reserve, bearing 184° 51' 30" distance 4600 links approximately, and on the south-west and west by the Crown land 4100 links and 1000 links respectively. As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked L. and S. 6/4/1A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
