Land in Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 21st June, 1932.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924, and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 11th July, 1932.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Thursday, 14th July, 1932, at 10 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board, or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.

SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Raglan County.—Newcastle Survey District.
(National Endowment Land, 556 acres 1 rood 8 perches; Crown land, 936 acres 3 roods 12 perches.)
SECTIONS 5, 8, and 8A, Block X: Area, 1,493 acres 0 roods 20 perches. Capital value, £750. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £15.
Weighted with £1,283, for improvements consisting of 1,173 acres felled, burned, and grassed (now partly reverted; 20 acres cleared and grassed), in fair order, dwelling, corrugated-iron woolshed, cow-byre (4 stands, engine and separator rooms), hay-shed, sheep-yards, half-share 400 chains fencing, 100 chains road boundary fencing, and 460 chains subdivisional fencing. This sum may be paid in cash or by a cash deposit of £83, the balance £1,200 to be secured by a mortgage repayable over a period of thirty-four years and a half, by instalments of principal and interest combined, amounting to £39 per half-year.
Grazing property, situated on the Ngaruawahia–Puroa Road: six miles and a half from Ngaruawahia Post-office, School, Saleyards, and Railway-station by a metalled road, nine miles and a half from Taupiri Dairy Factory.
The soil is of a clayey nature, resting on clay, sandstone, and rubble formation.
Approximately 20 acres ploughable and at present in fair pasture, 1,473 acres hilly to broken (of which 1,173 acres have been cleared and grassed, now partly reverted, and 300 acres in natural state), tea-tree, scrub, and mixed bush.
Subdivided into fifteen paddocks.
Watered by running streams.
A little blackberry and foxglove in evidence.

Education Reserve in Otago Land District for Lease by Public Auction.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Dunedin, 22nd June, 1932.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned education reserve will be offered for lease by public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, at 11 o’clock a.m. on Wednesday, 27th July, 1932, under the provisions of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, and the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE.
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.
Waitaki County.—Oamaru Survey District.
SECTION 1 of 56, Block IX: Area, 44 acres. Upset annual rent, £33.
Weighted with £204, for improvements consisting of five-roomed dwelling, shed, and fencing. This sum is payable in cash.
The section is situated about ten miles from Oamaru and about three miles from Weston Railway-station. The land is all flat with the exception of about 2 acres which are undulating. The quality of the soil is good and admirably suited for dairying, growing green crops and potatoes. Would make an ideal worker’s home.

NOTICE is hereby given that the land described in the First Schedule hereto is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924, and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Tuesday, 12th July, 1932.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, on Wednesday, 13th July, 1932, at 10 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board, or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of the applicants.
The lands in the Second Schedule will be offered for selection on renewable lease by public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, at 11 o’clock a.m. on Wednesday, 27th July, 1932.
NOTE.—The lands in both Schedules are offered in terms of section 153 of the Land Act, 1924, which provides that no right to any mineral under the surface shall pertain to the lessee whose right shall be to the surface soil only.

Tuapeka County.—Benger Survey District.
(Within boundaries of Otago Mining District.)
SECTION 85, Block I: Area, 25 acres 0 roods 4 perches. Capital value, £25. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, 10s.
The section is situated one mile from Ettrick Post-office and School, and four miles from Miller’s Flat Railway-station, by good road. The soil is of a good sharp loam resting on gravel formation. The area comprises a long narrow strip of flat land fronting the Molyneux River. If irrigated it would grow good clover and fodder crops.

Section 3, Block XLI: Area, 2 acres. Upset capital value, £12 10s. Renewable lease: Upset half-yearly rent, 5s.
Section 4, Block XLI: Area, 2 acres. Upset capital value, £12 10s. Renewable lease: Upset half-yearly rent, 5s.
Section 5, Block XLI: Area, 2 acres. Upset capital value, £12 10s. Renewable lease: Upset half-yearly rent, 5s.
Section 6, Block XLI: Area, 2 acres. Upset capital value, £12 10s. Renewable lease: Upset half-yearly rent, 5s.
Section 7, Block XLI: Area, 2 acres. Upset capital value, £12 10s. Renewable lease: Upset half-yearly rent, 5s.
The sections are situated within a quarter of a mile of Alexandra Railway-station and one mile from Post-office. They are fairly level, slightly hummocky in places, and the soil is of a light loam resting on gravel formation. The sections are commanded by water from the Public Works Irrigation Scheme.

Vincent County.—Tiger Hill Survey District.
(Within boundaries of Otago Mining District.)
Section 106, Block II: Area, 2 acres 1 rood 39·7 perches. Upset capital value, £15. Renewable lease: Upset half-yearly rent, 6s.
Weighted with £93 2s. 6d., for improvements consisting of stable, pigsty, and fencing. This sum is payable in cash.
Section 108, Block II: Area, 1 acre 2 roods 23 perches. Upset capital value, £12. Renewable lease: Upset half-yearly rent, 4s. 10d.
Weighted with £1 10s. for fencing. This sum is payable in cash.
The sections are situated close to the Omakau Township and about a quarter of a mile from the Omakau Railway-station. The sections have a good level road frontage, and the soil in that portion is of good quality. The back portions of the sections are broken and consist mostly of gravel. The sections are watered by springs.
