NEW ZEALAND.—NORTH ISLAND.—WEST COAST.
Wanganui : Trestle Work at Mole-ends and Light washed away.
Position : Lat. 39° 57' S.; long. 175° 00' E. (approx.).
Details : The light tower with 60 ft. of the trestle work on the south mole and 40 ft. of the trestle work on the north mole have been washed away. A temporary light will be exhibited from south mole till the tower has been rebuilt. The rubble wall now extends seawards below water.
NOTE.—Masters entering or leaving are warned not to approach on the line of moles within a distance of 160 ft. from the end of the present trestle work.

Notice to Mariners No. 30 of 1932.

NEW ZEALAND.—NORTH ISLAND.—AUCKLAND HARBOUR.
Freeman's Bay : Viaduct Opening and Bridge.
Previous Notice : No. 28 of 1930—hereby cancelled.
Position : Lat. 36° 51' S.; long. 174° 46' E. (approx.).
Details : The bridge across the opening in Freeman's Bay Viaduct has been completed and the following permanent lights and traffic signals are exhibited for the direction of shipping :
A fixed white light is exhibited at a height of 13 ft. from the northern end of the training pier on the northern side of the viaduct.
Two fixed red lights, horizontally disposed, 6 ft. apart, are exhibited at a height of 16 ft. from the north-western corner of the eastern portion of the viaduct. Immediately under the red lights, and facing northward, is an illuminated signal with the word “Stop” or “Pass” in 16 in. white letters. The background for the “Pass” signal is green, and red for the “Stop” signal.
A similar illuminated “Stop” or “Pass” signal, facing southward, is exhibited at a height of 14 ft. from the south-western corner of the eastern portion of the viaduct.
A fixed white light is exhibited at a height of 13 ft. from the southern end of a small training pier which extends 22 ft. southward from the south-western corner of the eastern portion of viaduct.
A fixed white light is exhibited at a height of 13 ft. from the south-eastern corner of the western portion of the viaduct.
Two fixed green lights, horizontally disposed, 6 ft. apart, are exhibited at a height of 16 ft. from the north-eastern corner of the western portion of the viaduct.
Waterway traffic through the opening is controlled by the “Stop” or “Pass” signals, all incoming vessels obeying the outer signal, and outgoing vessels the inner signal.

The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Act, 1932.—Notice of Cancellation of Award.
In the matter of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925, and its amendments, and in the matter of an industrial dispute between the New Zealand United Boilermakers and Iron Ship and Bridge Builders' Federation and the New Zealand Federated Ironmasters' Industrial Association of Employers, of the one part, and the New Zealand Council of the Amalgamated Engineering and Allied Trades Industrial Association of Workers of the other part.
WHEREAS the Conciliation Commissioner, by notice under his hand dated the 17th day of June, 1932, has notified the Clerk of Awards that a settlement of the abovementioned dispute has not been arrived at by the Council of Conciliation appointed for the hearing thereof:
Notice is hereby given that, in accordance with section 7 (4) of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Act, 1932, the Northern, Taranaki, Wellington, Nelson, Canterbury, and Otago and Southland Engineers, Moulders, Boilermakers, Iron Ship and Bridge Builders’ Award, dated the 16th July, 1929, and published in Book of Awards, Vol. XXIX, page 492, is deemed to be cancelled and ceases to be in force on the expiration of one month from the date of the Commissioner’s notification to the Clerk of Awards as aforesaid.
Dated at Wellington, this 22nd day of June, 1932.
