RESOLUTION DEFINING SPECIAL-RATING AREA.

(First Schedule.)

THAT all that property within the following boundaries be known as the East-side Drainage Area: Commencing at the north-western corner of Section 23, North Town Belt along Whitcombe Street in a southerly direction to Section 160; thence along High Street in an easterly direction to the south-eastern corner of Section 344; thence in a northerly direction along Guise Street and through Section 734 to Alexandra Street; thence to the eastern boundary of Section 726; thence in a north-westerly direction to the northern boundary of Section 719; thence in a southerly direction along Maude Street to the northern boundary of Section 680; thence westerly along Fox Street to Section 678; thence in a southerly direction to the western boundary of Section 675; thence westerly along Alexandra Street to the intersection of Hornbrook Street; thence westerly along the northern boundaries of Sections 550 and 549 to Hayhurst Street; thence northerly to the northern boundary of Section 509; thence in a westerly direction to Raynor Street; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of Raynor Street to Denmark Street; thence westerly to the eastern boundary of Section 480; thence in a northerly direction to the north-eastern boundary of Section 443; thence westerly to Wilkin Street; thence in a westerly direction along the northern boundaries of Sections 85, 84, 61, and 60, to Hamilton Street; thence northerly to the North Town Belt; thence westerly to the starting-point.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

(Second Schedule.)

That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Empowering (Relief of Unemployment) Act, 1926, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Temuka Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £4,500, authorized to be raised by the Temuka Borough Council under the Local Authorities Empowering (Relief of Unemployment) Act, 1926, for drainage for portion of the East-side of this borough, the said Temuka Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of fifteen-sixteenths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property included in the East-side Drainage Area as defined in the First Schedule; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

This is to certify that the above is a true and correct extract from the proceedings of the Temuka Borough Council at a meeting held on the 18th day of May, 1932, at the Council Chambers, Wilkin Street, Temuka.
