Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby proclaim and declare that the Native land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a quarry, and that the said land shall vest in the Thames Harbour Board as from the twenty-seventh day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two.

Being Native land.
Situated in Block I, Thames Survey District (Auckland R.D.) (Borough of Thames). (S.O. 26368.)
In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 83532, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Order in Council varying the Rate of Interest in respect of the Whakatane Harbour Board’s Loan of £2,700.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 20th day of May, 1932.
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the thirty-first day of August, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, and published in the Gazette on the third day of September, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, at page 2532, consent was given to the raising by the Whakatane Harbour Board of the Capitalized Interest Renewal Loan, 1932, up to an amount of two thousand seven hundred pounds, for a term of fifteen years, at rates of interest not exceeding the rate therein specified and subject to the condition relating to the establishment of a sinking fund therein set out:
And whereas the said sum of two thousand seven hundred pounds has not yet been borrowed, and it is expedient to vary, as regards the borrowing of the said sum of two thousand seven hundred pounds, the condition of the said Order in Council relating to the rate of interest at which the said loan may be borrowed:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting by and with the consent of the Executive Council, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section sixty-three of the Finance Act, 1932, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby vary the condition contained in the said Order in Council of the thirty-first day of August, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, relating to the rate of interest at which the said loan may be borrowed by imposing, in lieu of a reference to a rate of five and one-quarter per centum, a condition that the said sum of two thousand seven hundred pounds, or any part of the said sum, may be raised at a rate of interest being such as shall not produce to the lenders a rate exceeding five and a half per centum.

WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the thirty-first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, and published in the Gazette on the fifth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, at page 3104,
consent was given to the raising by the Onehunga Borough Council of the Drainage and Sewerage Loan, 1931, up to an amount of four thousand eight hundred and fifty pounds, for a term of thirty-six and a half years, at rates of interest not exceeding the rate therein specified and subject to the condition relating to the establishment of a sinking fund therein set out:
And whereas the said sum of four thousand eight hundred and fifty pounds has not yet been borrowed, and it is expedient to vary, as regards the borrowing of the said sum of four thousand eight hundred and fifty pounds, the condition of the said Order in Council relating to the rate of interest at which the said loan may be borrowed:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting by and with the consent of the Executive Council, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section sixty-three of the Finance Act, 1932, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby vary the condition contained in the said Order in Council of the thirty-first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, relating to the rate of interest at which the said loan may be borrowed by imposing, in lieu of a reference to a rate of five and one-quarter per cent., a condition that the said sum of four thousand eight hundred and fifty pounds, or any part of the said sum, may be raised at a rate of interest being such as shall not produce to the lenders a rate exceeding five and one-half per cent.

WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the eighteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, and published in the Gazette on the twenty-fourth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, at page 3582, consent was given to the raising by the Wanganui City Council of the Antecedent Liability and Other Purposes Repayment Loan, 1932, now to be known as The City of Wanganui 6 per cent. Loan, 1932, up to an amount of one hundred and twenty-one thousand four hundred and seventy-five pounds, for a term of twenty years, at a rate of interest not exceeding the rate therein specified, and subject to the condition relating to the establishment of a sinking fund therein set out:
And whereas the said sum of one hundred and twenty-one thousand four hundred and seventy-five pounds has not yet been borrowed, and it is expedient to vary, as regards the borrowing of the said sum, the conditions of the said Order in Council relating to the rate of interest and the term for which the said loan may be borrowed:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting by and with the consent of the Executive Council, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section sixty-three of the Finance Act, 1932, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby vary the conditions contained in the said Order in Council of the eighteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, relating to the rate of interest and the term for which the said loan may be borrowed, by imposing, in lieu of references to a rate of interest not exceeding five and one-quarter per centum and to a term of twenty years, conditions that The City of Wanganui 6 per cent. Loan, 1932, of one hundred and twenty-one thousand four hundred and seventy-five pounds, or any part thereof, may be raised for a term of ten years, at a rate of interest being such as shall not produce to the lender a rate exceeding six and one-half per centum.
