Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the
powers and authorities conferred by section twenty-nine of
the Inspection of Machinery Act, 1928, and of all other powers
and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the said Order
in Council, and doth hereby make the following regulations
prescribing the fees payable in respect of the inspections of
machinery and boilers; and doth hereby further order and
declare that the said regulation shall come into force on the
first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two.
R E G U L A T I O N.
THE fees payable in respect of the inspections of machinery or
boilers shall be in accordance with those prescribed in the
Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
THE sum specified in the first column is the amount of the
fee; the sum specified in the second column is the amount
which may be accepted in satisfaction of the fee, provided
such sum is paid within one month after the date of issue
of the notice that the fee is due.
In respect of every steam vessel under pressure—
First Column: £ s. d. | Second Column: £ s. d.
For each boiler working up to 5 horse-power: 0 15 0 | 0 10 0
For each boiler working over 5 and up to 10 horse-power: 1 5 0 | 1 0 0
For each boiler working over 10 horsepower: 2 5 0 | 2 0 0
For each other pressure vessel: 0 13 6 | 0 9 0
In respect of machinery not having boilers connected therewith—
For each lift used for the carriage of passengers: 1 5 0 | 1 0 0
For each lift not used for the carriage of passengers: 1 0 0 | 0 15 0
For each crane of a lifting-capacity not exceeding 1 ton: 0 13 6 | 0 9 0
For each crane of a lifting-capacity not exceeding 2 tons: 0 18 0 | 0 13 6
For each crane of a lifting-capacity not exceeding 5 tons: 1 2 6 | 0 18 0
For each crane of a lifting-capacity not exceeding 10 tons: 1 11 6 | 1 7 0
For each crane of a lifting-capacity not exceeding 20 tons: 2 0 0 | 1 16 0
For each crane of a lifting-capacity exceeding 20 tons: 2 18 6 | 2 14 0
For each hydraulic, electric, or other hoist: 0 6 9 | 0 4 6
Provided that for each steam crane the fee prescribed above in respect of the boiler shall also be payable.
For any other machine or machinery worked otherwise than by hand—
If of 5 horse-power or under: 0 3 3 | 0 2 3
If over 5 horse-power and not exceeding 10 horse-power: 0 9 0 | 0 6 9
If over 10 horse-power and not exceeding 30 horse-power: 1 0 0 | 0 15 9
If over 30 horse-power and not exceeding 50 horse-power: 1 7 0 | 1 2 6
If over 50 horse-power and not exceeding 100 horse-power: 1 16 0 | 1 11 6
If over 100 horse-power and not exceeding 200 horse-power: 2 5 0 | 2 0 0
If over 200 horse-power: 2 14 0 | 2 10 0
Provided that in the case of any tractor driven by mechanical power other than steam and used for the purpose of transmitting power to stationary machinery, the fee for the inspection of such tractor shall be: 0 6 9 | 0 4 6
Provided further that in any factory or workshop where the electricity for working the motors used therein is generated on the premises the fee shall be chargeable only on the boilers or engines which drive the dynamo or generator, and not on the dynamo or generator or on the motors worked by the power supplied from the dynamo or generator:
Provided further that in any factory or workshop where miniature boilers, pressure vessels, cranes, or other machinery, as the case may be, are inspected at the one time, when the total of the fee in the second column reaches the amount specified below, the fee for each remaining inspection shall be reduced to half that prescribed in the above-mentioned scale—

In respect of miniature boilers not exceeding one horse-power and other pressure vessels: 5 0 0 | 4 0 0

In respect of machinery driven by electric motors: 11 0 0 | 9 0 0
Provided further that no fee shall be payable on any pelton or turbine wheel not exceeding 5 horse-power :
Provided further that in any case where, in order to meet the convenience of the Marine Department, the certificate granted is of less duration than the maximum period allowed by law, the secretary may allow a rebate of a proportional part of the prescribed inspection fee.

The North-western Side of Arrow Street Extension and the North-eastern Side of Portion of Wakefield Main Road, in the County of Waimea, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to Conditions as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 27th day of April, 1932.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Waimea County Council on the third day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, viz. : —
“That the Waimea County Council, being the local authority having control of the roads within the Waimea County, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the following roads, namely : —
“To the north-western side of Arrow Street Extension for a distance of 1050·12 links in an easterly direction from the Wakefield Main Road, nor to the eastern side of the Wakefield Main Road for a distance of 164·7 links, as shown on plan prepared by F. I. Ledger, Surveyor, and coloured pink thereon”;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the northwestern side of Arrow Street Extension (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of fourteen feet from the north-western boundary of the said road or on the northeastern side of the portion of the Wakefield Main Road (described in the Schedule hereto), within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of road.
SCHEDULE.
THE north-western side of all that road in the Nelson Land District, County of Waimea, known as Arrow Street Extension, fronting part Section 85, Waimea South, Block XII, Wai-iti Survey District.
The north-eastern side of all that portion of road in the said land district and county, known as the Wakefield Main Road, fronting part Section 85, Waimea South, Block XII, Wai-iti Survey District.
As the said portions of roads are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 83718, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
