Notice under the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, as to the
Statutory Closing-day in the Combined District of Tau-
marunui and Manunui.
NOTICE is hereby given that, in exercise of the powers
in this behalf conferred upon me by the Shops and
Offices Act, 1921–22, and in terms of notice in writing duly
received by me from the chairman of the conference of
delegates of all the local authorities of the combined district
of Taumarunui and Manunui, as constituted for the purpose
of that Act, and comprising the Borough of Taumarunui and
the Town District of Manunui, I, Adam Hamilton, Minister of
Labour, do hereby appoint Wednesday to be the statutory
closing-day for shops in the said combined district of Tau-
marunui and Manunui.

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon me by the
Post and Telegraph Act, 1928 (hereinafter termed “the
said Act”), and by the regulations made on the 12th May,
1914, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the
21st May, 1914, the following officers, at the addresses set
against their names, are hereby appointed Transmitting and
Receiving Officers for the purpose of dealing with all notices
by telegraph sent under the said Act or regulations, and of
signing such certificates in relation to the service of any such
notices as are required or authorized to be signed or given
under the said Act or the regulations aforesaid.

Prohibition of Issue of Money-order and Transmission of
Postal Correspondence in New Zealand for E. A. Terry,
Christchurch.
THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand
having reasonable ground for supposing that the person
whose name and address are shown in the Schedule hereunder
is engaged in promoting or carrying out a lottery or scheme of
chance, it is hereby ordered under section 32 of the Post and
Telegraph Act, 1928, that no money-order in favour of the
said person shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed
to the said person (either by his own or any fictitious or
assumed name) or addressed to the address in the Schedule
hereunder without a name, shall be either registered or for-
warded by the Post Office of New Zealand.

Special Order made by Westland County Council declaring
Sections 121 and 131, Counties Act, 1920, not to apply
to that Council.

THE following special order made by the Westland
County Council is published in accordance with the
provisions of the Counties Amendment Act, 1931.

WESTLAND COUNTY COUNCIL.—SPECIAL ORDER.
SPECIAL order made by the Westland County Council at
a meeting called for the purpose at Hokitika on the 15th
day of December, 1931, and confirmed at a subsequent
meeting, convened as a special meeting at Hokitika, on the
9th day of February, 1932:—
“That, pursuant to the provisions of the Counties
Amendment Act, 1931, the Westland County Council
hereby declares by special order that, in respect to section
2 (1) of the said Act, sections 121 and 131 of the Counties
Act, 1920, shall not apply to the Westland County Council
as from the close of the current financial year.”
That pursuant to the provisions of the Counties Amendment
Act, 1931, it is hereby declared that the foregoing special
order was duly made by the Westland County Council con-
formable with the provisions of the statutes.
Dated at Hokitika, this 9th day of February, 1932.

I, David John Evans, Clerk to the Westland County
Council, hereby certify in compliance with the provisions
of section 2 of subclause (2) of the Counties Amendment
Act, 1932, that in the making of the special order provided
for in section 2, subclause (1), all necessary forms as required
by the Counties Act, 1920, and its amendments, were duly
complied with, and the said special order was considered
and adopted at duly appointed meetings of the Council
called for the said purpose of the special order.
